Cam is a very good RB, we have 4 running backs, it's hard to get those guys touches. No hesitation of getting them in the game but...^one football

Manti played his best game of the year against Miami

He was dynamic as a playmaker. He was making some plays that he hasn't all year.

The average person would have a dip in energy and focus, and it turned out to be the opposite for Manti.

Manit is a unique individual who didn't have a letdown after traveling back and forth from Hawaii.

on Farley: We saw him as an under-recruited, raw talent...we were projecting him.

on Golson: he definitely took a step forward in the passing game for us.

on him running the ball: he went north and south. He wasn't out there shaking and trying to make people miss.

Golson threw the ball better, but still left some throws out there.

Miami game is the first time that they ran him.

Stanford wore Arizona down and was able to put up big numbers because of it.

on Stanford succeeding academically and on the field: it doeesn't get enough attention.

ND and Stanford don't get enought attention with how they combine academics and athletics in a great way.

BK: i am not frustrated that you can't recruit student-athletes and be a competative BCS team year in and year out at Notre Dame.

Oline: the left side of the line is very close knit and they understand how to work together.

We just wanted to get Golson on the field and let him have fun Saturday night - but we are building trust and allowing him to input.

Stanford TEs: it's a nightmare. Tyler Eifert is the same probelem when we split him out.

they are a nightmare for our defense and the matchup issues they present.

We ran the ball 30 times in a row because Miami double-teamed Eifert.

Midterms are this week and we have to make certain that proper time is placed on their academics.

says the Oline hasn't given up a sack in the last 85 passing attempts (big test this weekend on that)

offensive line is in a sugar huddle during the game to help with communication

on balancing academics and practice: try and be flexible with the school schedule, move things around, but they are expected to meet duties.

Zach Martin has taken his leadership to a new level this season.

BK on ND/Stanford blueprint: I think there are a lot of similarities there.

S TEs: they are in there to block big guys and put out wide to run routes.

Stanford is a well coached physical football team.

TJ: i think he really understand his playing time is predicated on being a complete player. In all phases he is committed to be a complete player. Much more of a better blocker.

the breaks we've gotten this year have been because we've played well and forced other teams to execute.

Lombard is getting better each and every week.

Golson running the 2 minute drill vs Miami: I thought he made some strides with being comfortable out there.

Rees has made some strides in being comfortable out there, making good decisions, and he's getting work in.

BK: we were hoping Golson could get a chance to run the two minute drill against Miami - he did a great job at the end of the first half.

ND vs Stanford recruiting: not about a single game. If that does it, you aren't meant to come here. Nice to win, but not main motivator.

Defensive blue pring - finding those guys who can physically control the line of scrimmage, but it's more than that.

Must be valued within your program.

We have many distinctions that make us different from Stanford.

David Pollack was just on Sportscenter talking about ND. Raved about their defense, said we haven't had NFL talent like this on our team in years. Said OK/SC will be difficult to win but mentioned that if we did, we'd make a NC appearance.

CFB Daily on ESPNU is breaking down ND vs Stanford. They give Stanford the edge on the TE front because the Irish TEs are part of the offensive machine whereas Stanford absolutely depends on their TES to move the ball the the air.

Is it just me, or does that sound more like a weakness for Stanford? By that logic, if Stanford takes away the Irish TEs, Notre Dame isn't too hamstrung. But if the Irish D shuts down Stanford's TEs the Tree is pretty screwed. These guys do get paid for this, right?

I taking that they were talking about ND's TE being an integral part of the OLine. If so, just think what happens if Golic and Lombard hold up their side, allowing Eifert to find a seam, or Niklas to drag across the middle, or either slip a block in the red zone and head for the corner.

We've been winning withOUT the TE's being an productive pass catchers. If Brown and Golson DO get in sync, or Davaris breaks one, ND's TE's will suddenly find open space.

He has had some good games, My prediction is he has a great game this week.

I also think for the first time we will see the jailbreak screen. We have been gradually opening the playbook.

That would be their #1 WR...

RT @wilnerhotline Stanford HC David Shaw: WR Ty Montgomery doubtful for Notre Dame.
