I'm aware what sign it is, thanks...

Torii Hunter won MVP of the Opening and is ranked ahead of Boyd on 247, the most reliable scouting site. Torii plays in the huge and talent heavy state of Texas which could be why he is not ranked as highly by other services.

I think both are exceptional talents for the record

My apologies. Not meaning to rip on another man's math skills. Last week I got in a debate with someone about the nature of greater than/less than signs. Thought it might be catching.
As for Torii, yes, stars aside, his offer list (Arkansas, Okie State) is probably superior at this point. And that seems like a better indicator. Would be glad to land either, though.

Agreed. We'll only find out once they finish their collegiate careers I guess. haha

Got to disagree that Oklahoma State and Arkansas are "superior" offers to Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan State, Pitt and West Virginia. They are, in fact, the regional equivalents of Boyd's offers as Hunter is from Texas. Boyd has offers from every single major regional school around him (Pitt, PSU, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia) with the exception of OSU who doesn't really have any need for another player with his skill set.

Bolded part doesn't make sense. Usually it would be the opposite. Florida, Texas, and other southeast states receive a "bump" typically

247's rankings are fine, but I wouldn't consider them better than Rivals.

Look at all the rankings as a whole to get the best idea. Also, Boyd's offers are solid.

Hunter was the MVP of the Opening, but you guys all saw how they rated players, including the OL/DL wins and losses.

TT I thought being from TX sometimes made players get lost and be under appreciated... whatever you say though

Fair enough. I missed Va Tech and MSU, as the report was that his top schools were ND, WVU, Wiscy and the Arizonas. And, good as they sometimes are on the field, Wisconsin and WVU don't tend to be that highly-rated in terms of recruiting (yes, I realize there can be built-in biases in recruiting rankings). And why go to Arizona?
Really it's just that, typically we're battling the likes of Michigan and OSU (and, until Monday, Penn State) for Western PA kids, moreso than Wisconsin or West Va. That's what I've become attuned to seeing. He's got offers from neither. May well be because they've already filled his slot, though.
Regardless, he's four stars across the board, at a position of need. I'll take him.

Think about what you said - and realize there are more scouts in Texas than almost every other state. If you can ball, you'll be found. I got into this with another member a couple of months ago, when he thought states like New Jersey had better top-rated talent than Texas. Go look at the rosters of all the Texas schools (and there are a lot), and then go look at the rosters of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Missouri, among others. They are LITTERED with Texas athletes. No one is getting lost in that state...

I am sure it is still this way but when VY beat SCum in the NC I think their 22 starters were all from Texas. Pretty impressive.

But Cam McDanial didn't get a single offer from a Texas school or Ok or Ok st and he's already convinced many IE members how extremely underrated he is.

According to the ISD live blog, just owned Kendall Fuller on a fade route. Apparently looking good and playing big so far.

No clear cut front runner but WVU chasing hard as a WR prospect while ATH (RB/WR/CB/S) at other schools.

Will take all 5 OVs and probably wait to NSD.

3.3 GPA.

The only problem I see is the competition he's playing. Clairton is an absolute power in PA-A football...that's right single A...they don't really play a whole lot of big schools, mainly the small catholic schools, and not to be racist, but they're mainly white and slow. I think his tape is definitely a product of his competition....

Still could be a solid signing, but I just wanted to point out his competition, I've seen them play a few times
