lolz at least ND is 5-0
Thanks bro. Honestly loved watching you guys play yesterday. Both teams are having better years than most expected. Just let us have Anzalone bro

My take: So ND is telling him when to do interviews. Sounds good to me.
I don't think so. He is an EE, so he is going to need time to set that up with w/e school he chooses. I think he is ours if he goes to the BYU game.
I don't understand this recruitment. He says he is enroling early and will wear #5 and will represent Manti Teo. Then there is a rumor about a de-committment. Weird
This is my take on the whole situation. He was obsessed with Urban and Florida. Every time he visited Florida there were no recruits on campus to hang out with. He goes to tOSU hangs out with players and recruits has a blast then commits. His father later finds out Alex got hammered (pure speculation) and is livid tells Alex he will not be attending tOSU.
Alex then says, "man I really like Heuerman we could be best buds in college I am going to ND". Later he meets all the Florida recruits at the opening and he starts to think about how much he likes them as well. In the end I think somewhere along the line Alex lost focus on why he is should pick a University and is more worried about who he is going to be hanging out with.

I do believe he will visit for for BYU game and the Banquet and will still be going to ND. If he visits Florida in December he will be a Gator

I will lose respect for him with the way he has talked about ND ...
Ahem, if he talked the way you do in ND game threads about ND players, he shouldn't be let in the school. But he doesn't do that. You are not one to be speaking about a lack of respect.
This recruit is an 18 year old kid figuring out a lifetime decision under a lot of pressure from family, friends, and teammates. He's being courted by a number of high profile programs and hounded by recruiting services. If he's in doubt, I hope he does do his dilegence and thinks his decision through. Signing an LOI and transferring ala Lynch, et al, is in no one's best interest.
Are you serious that Anzalone's disrespectful for aspiring to one day playing like Manti does? Would you rather he aspire to being a career bench warmer?
What's your excuse as an adult for trashing 18 and 19 year olds, whether ND players or recruits, week after week, season after season?
Do you read the swill you post or just blurt it out without engaging your brain?
He took a visit with his parents to see a matchup between top 10 teams. It is an unofficial so I do not think the coaches can talk to him. He is committed to ND until it says otherwise. Just chill out guys. He has 2 more visits planned to ND as well.
It was one thing to bail on ND when we were looking shaky and losing, but now? How does Aaron Lynch feel now? I hope he is happy, but talk about jumping ship at the wrong time....
Can you imagine this defense with Aaron Lynch, or Ronald Darby and Tee Shepard? JESUS LORD.
Time to move on, time to move on.
I don't think Anzalone is going to decommit for a second time. But if he does, this staff isn't likely to let it ruin the class. That has been a big difference between Weis and Kelly. Isaac Savaiinaea would be getting triple the phone calls he is. This staff isn't stupid.
We're going to get to the point where Kelly "arrives," where people across the country actually accept that Kelly's winning ways are going to be brought to the national stage. He did it at GVSU, he did it at CMU, and he certainly did it at Cincinnati. That is going to have an incredible impact on recruiting going forward.
Not to derail this thread, but you can't convince me that this D would've been noticeably better with Lynch. Lynch with the right attitude? Hell yeah. But the Lynch we had? I dunno... quite a double edged sword.
Darby + Tee? Sheesh... talk about having young guys with potential at every position....

As good as our D-line is, we don't have a ton of depth (especially now that Hounsell's out for the year). It's KLM and Tuitt (two studs) with just Day and Springman behind them (and Springman is not that good). Aaron Lynch was a gamer and an elite pass-rusher. Much better pass rusher than KLM, imo, and Aaron (opposite of Tuitt) would be unreal on 3rd and long. I think it'd be a huge difference.

But Aaron Lynch continually blew assignments and din't play the run well and committed a lot of mistakes including big penalties. As a situational pass rusher he could've been a huge asset... but he wasn't willing to be that... so it's kinda moot point. And he was a huge cancer with a bad attitude... and if there is one thing I've learned playing sports it's that attitude is contagious. With people in the right mindset, the whole team performs better. With even a couple people not "bought in" or causing distractions the whole productivity of the team tumbles. As things stand right now, I'm just not sure if he would've actually improved our performance so far.
