Believe it or not, many people consider Roy Clark to better than both of them. Ive seen him play seriously, hes unreal. Jimmy Page is my personal favorite.

The two best are definitely Pink Floyd (even though The Wall is a stain on their legacy) and The Doors. Those 2 were amazing at blending genres and re-inventing them. Pink Floyd never had 2 albums that sounded the same and The Doors perfect blues rock. After them it's pretty close between a bunch. Zeppelin is great, Velvet Underground made one of the best albums ever, Beach Boys' Pet Sounds is amazing but every other album they did weren't good at all. After those 2 I'd probably say Zeppelin, King Crimson, and Jimi Hendrix Experience.

The Beatles and Queen are two of the most overrated bands of all-time. The Beatles never really had an original album (Sgt. Pepper's was amazing but basically their attempt at Pet Sounds and anything before Revolver was trashy pop music), and Queen is just so boring and poppy.

I honestly think Pink Floyd and The Doors are 3 steps above every other classic rock band. Ranking Pink Floyd albums is tough though. I'd probably say

1. Dark Side of the Moon
2. Animals
3. Saucerful of Secrets
4. Wish You Were Here
5. The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
6. Meddle
7. Atom Heart Mother
8. The Wall
9. The Final Cut
10. Obscured By Clouds
11. Ummagumma
12. More

Nothing after Waters left counts as Pink Floyd to me.

So were Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Abbey Road and Pepper. It was the Stones who were always copying the Beatles such as Satanic Majestys request trying to be Pepper. Pepper was an answer to Pet Sounds...which was an answer to Pet Sounds.

I don't dislike the Beatles at all. I own Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, Magical Mystery Tour, and The White Album. They just aren't the great innovators they are made out to be. I also believe that The Beatles never released the best album of a single year and that has always kept them from breaking into my top 5.
