Get Hooper at DE and get Muhammad as OLB can never get enough good defensive players.

I just don't see the room.

We need two corners, period. Preferably elite ones.

One hybrid and one true WR.

That's four. It looks most likely that we have only five spots left. So you take Alquadin because, let's face it, he's the best we have a shot at left on the board. I wish we could take Hooper also.

Any numbers guys see a possibility of taking more than 25? Like 26 or 27? Is this even possible?

Also, I don't remember who posted it, but can you re-post the scholarship breakdown chart?

I like AM and Isaac Savaiinea to leave spots for. I probably have Isaac's last name wrong, sorry. On my phone.

Even 25 is tough. That assumes we take only three 5th years. Wood, Martin, Watt, Fox and Calabrese are all major contributors who are eligible. I could see us taking all 5 ... or none of them. I honestly don't think we want to take fewer than three though. I think we need Martin, Watt and one of Fox/Calabrese to return.

So one more DL spot left right? Is Danny going to play because I don't think AM can or are we just going to get players and figure it out later. I guess Romeo will move down to line probably.

I feel like the more playing time and more productive a season Shumate has, the better for us with AM. If he starts making a name for himself early, it will go a long way being they are close.

I know Bosco guys tend to wait til the season is over, but has A.M. Given any idea as to when he will decide?

Rob Cassidy, West: Look, I'm not saying the decision between Notre Dame and Rutgers is easy. I'm just saying the two schools are awfully easy to compare and contrast. This is why I'm struggling to put my finger on what's taking Al-Quadin Muhammad so long to choose. The Irish and Scarlet Knights lead for the four-star defensive end, and Muhammad intends to wait. Many other programs will not. The Rivals250 member lists an offer from Alabama, but the Tide won't likely sit tight and wait for him to make a decision.

Article on 247 says Miami has really been making a push lately with Bama (Written by UM writer so obviously a little slanted).

I found this quote funny:

Muhammad explained why he’s impressed with Miami’s 3-1 start to the season when he hasn’t seen one play.

“I haven’t had a chance to watch them at all but I know their record,” Muhammad said. “That speaks for itself without me having physically seen the games.

No Alquadin, no it doesn't.

Quote could be taken out of context. Perhaps they were talking about Miami looking better than last year for instance, who knows.

The only thing that matters is they are getting some attention back from him.

Guys, I wouldn't worry about that quote at all. That sounds to me like a kid just trying to be polite to a 'Canes reporter and say nice things about the 'Canes. If anything that quote makes me think that he doesn't have any serious Miami interest; he doesn't even know much about them.

Hopefully he watches them on Oct 6.

I don't see any threat from Miami either. quote kind of makes me laugh.

I'm more concerned that he has taken two trips out to Colorado to visit Yuri Wright and another former teammate. Having friends on the team who can really tell you how it is to be a player there can be a strong pull.

But then we've got Shumate ...

lol what?!?! The same Colorado that is the laughing stock of all BCS teams right now. I'm sorry but if he is serious about his college career than those visits are nothing more than vacations way out west to see his friends.

Emcee, I can understand your concern as far as having teammates somewhere but I have never heard Colorado in the mix with AM.

It isn't like it was the first choice for Yuri either.

I agree. My point was that I am not at all concerned about Miami, and that having Shumate to help recruit Muhammad is huge for us. "More concerned" about Colorado than Miami, I guess, if I'm splitting hairs, but really that was just rhetoric; ultimately I am not at all concerned about either.

Is this one of those things where the coach wants players to hold off on committing so some lower tier players get the chance to be seen by recruiters?

He's not going to Colorado...at least not if he's serious about football. They are probably the worst team in college football.

Bear in mind that Shumate's recruitment was very similar. We hadn't heard much about him. He came on his official visit towards the end of the year, loved it. And committed at the army game. I think this plays out very similar. I also belive that he'll play cat OLB in the 3-4 and put his hand in the dirt when we go to the 4 man front. Just like shembo this year.
