I usually only read the comments under an ESPN story to get angry at the world (read: watch SEC trolls try and make arguments about how going to class doesn't matter). I figured the latest Kiffinism would be a good read... I was right. Here is one of my favorites, "Kiffin has earned the right to be jerk. He is an extremely successful head coach. With all the Super Bowl victories he got in Oakland and BCS titles he has won with Tennessee and USC, who can argue with the guy?"

Al Davis is/was the butt of jokes and comments over this letter and press conference when he fired Kiffin, and rightfully so (he did ramble on and on). However, some of the things the Godfather said about Lane Kiffin were laser-accurate, especially stuff said about Kiffin's character.

The press conference was too easy to make fun of, but Al did get off a couple good-ones on the biggest scumbag in college football, and the ol' man was right.

I have to admit that I grew considering Al Davis a complete joke. I knew the history of all he accomplished in football, but honestly I had a hard time really accepting or believing it because of how much of a clown I viewed him as.

In fact, I thought so little of Davis that I actually rooted for Kiffin when he went to Tennessee because I thought that Davis was out of his mind and therefore Kiffin probably had gotten screwed. It didn't take me long after that to see Kiffin for what he is, but I never really reconsidered my opinion about skeletor. Maybe that is something worth revisiting.
