Jerry Palm, the computer guru, tonight forecast ND headed to the Fiesta Bowl on the heels of the dominant MSU game.

Notre Dame doesn't automatically qualify for a BCS spot, but the Irish will be eligible and get picked quickly.

Interestingly, he has OU in the Championship Game, and UM and USC in the Rose Bowl.

Ten of ND's opponents are forecast to bowl at this point. Everybody but Pitt and BC are pegged for the post-season.

There are still 9 games to play. Knocking off UM Saturday would go a long way toward making that forecast reality.

Football Outsiders is now projecting ND to 10 wins. Preseason they had projected ND to win 7.2 games.

They also rank ND #6. The ND Offense is ranked 32nd (right behind Bama) while the Defense is ranked 14th.

Last week ND jumped in the BCS Projections for the Fiesta. This week Jerry Palm likes ND in an Orange Bowl matchup with Boise St.

Still early with lots of games to play so the worriers will be wringing their hands and lamenting, "But we have no offense. We can't play Boise. How could I face my friends if we lose?"

Just keep winnin', one game at a time.

ND's win knocked Michigan out of a Rose Bowl Projection. Nebraska is the candidate now. Oregon's big win and USC's rebound bumped SU. ORE to the Title Game with Bama, SC to Rose, and SU to Holiday.

All ND opponents except BC and Pitt are currently forecast to be bowling this year.

Boise? They are out in the cold with 1 loss already. I don't see it happening. Pitts kinda turned it around. Not sure how NDs win knocked UM out of the Rosebowl. They are easily the favourite in a weak BIG.

OU has so many problems. Landry Jones looks like a deer in headlights down there. I originally had OU winning that game in a runaway but they have proved once again why nobody should be high on them in the preseason. By sleepwalking against UTEP and losing to K-state last night.

Don't see why everyone is hyping up that game at Soldier with miami like It's going to be a classic. Miami is crap.
