At least Florida fans don't have to hear about lack of SEC speed when they get crushed by Alabama and LSU. The Gators lose with legit 5-star, Southern talent! Florida presents Anzalone with the unique opportunity to be mediocre for no good reason at all.

Yeah ya are! I can picture now flicking your mullet back with a snide toothless smerk, scratching your one testicle in your jorts....

Bravo! Well done, fellas!

They're playing LSU? If he's going to go to a game in Florida, I'm A-OK with it being that one, assuming they get trounced.

Personally, I think Alex is solid. I think he is still being vigilant, but it would take a scandal or something very negative to force him off his commitment. As usual Old Man Mike verbalized my feelings about the situation better than I could. I hope for all of us and for him that he sticks he is a potentially great player and Notre Dame is an incredible opportunity and this team is heading in the right direction.

Its his parents homecoming that weekend both being Florida alums. I really do believe Alex is solid. He has always been open contact with Florida. I would be worried if he didn't have a great bond with the 2013 ND class. Like Ironman said if when we land Randolph it will just make it even stronger.

Yep. Realistically, I think this is just a fun weekend for Alex and his family.

I'm going to look past ALLGATOR's trolling in Deeb's thread right after he committed, and give him the benefit of the doubt on this one... he did say earlier in this thread that Anzalone would find a reason to visit Florida. Don't see any hidden messages or secret jabs, just something that could happen... and now it might.

It's almost no different than one of GB's "see I called it" posts, but we take it that ALLGATOR's being a dick because he's a Florida fan (I promise I'm not taking a shot at you GB, just a comparison. You're right often enough that you are allowed to let us know).

not tying to be a *** but I told you guys this was going to happen

I believe your intentions are good most of the time. I also believe you make mistakes. The Deeb jab, this post. Your ability to post here is predicated on you being a good e-citizen and we appreciate the info when outside posters can hold true to that social contract. This was an I told you so. Good for you. It was already on the record. But, it is a dick move and you need to knock that **** the **** off if you want to stick around.

This is the reason I said I am "not trying to be a **". When you see a Florida fan commenting o a player that's visiting Florida some people will assume that's the intention. When I promise you its not.

This potential trip to Florida is something to worry about. No matter what he says about the reason he is visiting, Alex is still making the effort to get on campus. This will be the second time he has had an excuse to visit Florida since being committed to ND.

Insiders were pretty sure he would visit this fall as well. If you ask them what players does Florida have the best chance to flip his name always comes up and usually first. A good amount of committed players will be at the LSU game, it will be interesting to see what happens if he does decide to go to that game.

I have said many times I would like for him to go to ND if he wants to play LB.
At the opening when he made his announcement he said he wasn't sure how many games he would see at ND because his team had some Saturday games does anybody know when he visits ND again?

I hope AA sticks with the Irish...after reading the board the past couple of days I don't have a good feeling about him.

I didn’t take it that way, in most instances you're correct jmurphy. I just think he's trying not to be a d!ck but biases have already set in and even good intentions have been misconstrued.
I was just bustin balls, I didn't take it that way either. You got to have tough skin around here.

I didnt have a problem with ALLGATOR's post... The only thing he did wrong was troll Deeb's commitment with that video. He has been pretty solid since.

TerryTate, you see Anzalone as a CAT?

Allgator has been a respectable poster and has been fair all the time. What he said in deebs thread ya maybe he shouldn't have said it but who doesn't make mistake. But you do enjoy taking that " I told you so" shot whenever you can at me. I won't say it anymore so just drop it

My question is: when did anyone challenge him on Alex visiting Florida? Always seemed plausible and predictable to me. Not sure of the need to spike the football.

I told you I wasn't trying to take a shot at you, that was my way of trying to drop it. It was just a comparison for the people going after ALLGATOR to see. We have plenty of people around here that like to point out how right they were, myself included, but ALLGATOR gets attacked for doing the same simply because of the team he supports and the recruiting battle. I apologize for the references, I realize I should never have got into it. I respect your opinions and the info you bring, I never aimed to be 'that guy' starting virtual drama.

I cannot believe what a boring soap-opera this thread has become. Are you all okay with each other now? Anyone's feelings ruffled? Anyone willing to admit that they don't have any idea what is going on?

Actually, certain posters do know what's going on. You just have to wade through it and decipher the b.s. from the content, much like most posts. Your post added nothing to the discussion, just like many others (and I've had my share of those as well).

SOmething I didn't see or might have missed, is that Alex is good friends with Randolph, per II, as they started on the same team together at The Opening and had a fast bond. If Randolph chooses Irish today, it will strengthen ND's shot at him, not lessen it as many believe it will...

perhaps AA was the current commit that has aided in DR's recruitment, which was noted back in the randolph thread?? i was under the assumption they were referring to Greer

Pretty sure Butler and Onwualu both were after him, and calling him "future family" really recently.

Here's a different take. The kids parents went to Florida, no? They're going regardless for what, parents night? He gets a free trip? He gets to see what a #1 team looks like in person? Why wouldn't he go?? I would! If I were committed to ND and I could go with my parents to see the #1 team play their alma matter, I'd definitely go. I didn't read all of the posts so forgive me if my theory is misguided.
