Is there a report up at all about it? About Malik or even Shane Morris and his struggles? My roommate is a Michigan fan and all he talks about is how SM is tearing up the camps.

I watched last night and thought it was funny that Shane Morris got so much attention and tv time and didnt make the 11 but Malik #3 was a blip in the whole broadcast. I hope he gets more recognition in the next round.

P.S. I cant wait the see Jaylon on an outside blitz and Alex up the middle high low Morris, that kid irritates me!

Both of these kids I already have disdain for. I wish terrible things for both of them... they even look stupid...

Ok. I have been out of pocket for a while, so I have missed a ton. Please tell me who those 2 are so I can wish them the same fate. I trust your instincts.

I thought Shane looked like he either A) just got done crying B) just smoked a j before he did his 1 on 1 interviews on the show last night.

I could be wrong but I believe it's Shane Morris (scUM) and Max Browne (USC)

Indeed. Now, lets never speak their names again. We shall now refer to them as

- Tweedle-Dee

- Tweedle-Dum

It is up to personal preference on which is which...

I thought the same thing. He had some red under his eyes. I vote for A) just got done crying... final answer.

I dislike Browne just because he committed to U$C and is a little overrated in my opinion, but Shane Morris has shown some serious signs of being a crybaby and a douchebag, plus he is definitely overrated. Zaire better get his due next week instead of Morris...

They really did overlook Zaire in the press coverage, even as they gave him great reviews.

I'm pretty sure that Malik got the least coverage out of all the Elite 11 Finalists on camera. And boy does ESPN have a wicked hard-on for Zack Greenlee.

^Yup.

Watched the final two episodes, and Zaire was shown literally twice for about 1.3 seconds of screen time despite making the Elite 11 final group. Seemed like he was the only one who didn't do interviews, makes me wonder if he personally didn't want the distractions.

ESPN looks for the best story to discuss. Malik is not an underdog nor is he considered the favorite. He is a QB going to ND.

They did this last year as well, but the guy who doesnt have all the big time offers gets plenty of air-time. ESPN is about the story (like a documentary) instead of a skills competition.

Haha yea, I'm glad he wasn't one of the attention clowns that were so playing it up for the camera. You just get the feeling from the BRIEF clips of him he's a real down to earth kid, who people would want to play for (AHEM, SHANE MORRIS *puke*). I'm really glad this kid is Irish-seems like he is pretty committed also. I wonder if he'll still be iron lock if Golson has a big, big break out year?! Obviously he could get two years separation from him if he took the 'not official redshirt- but its a redshirt' tag. But being named an Elite 11, is that good enough?! Sorry not trying to start, what ifs..but the QB position is a bit muddled. Hopefully it is a lot clearer after this season.

Yeah, I don't foresee Malik going elsewhere, even if Everett has a big year. Starting QB is sometimes just an injury away.

This is exactly what I was saw as well. ESPN showed once again that it has no love for ND or any one associated with the program. Had Dilfer played at ND, they probably would have shown more of footage of Jordan Palmer than any other coach at the Elite 11.

Speaking of Palmer, why in the world would they have a player like him coaching at an "Elite" camp? That is like having Chewbacca judging American Idol.

I disagree with you guys. In the finally Maliki had a lot of face time. Some of the 25 kids didn't even get on TV. Malik was shown more than some of the final elite 11 QBs. For example they only talked about Greg Dobbs maybe twice in the finally. Same with Goff.

I think a lot of you guys have a hatred bias towards ESPN and view thing slanted.

Malik will have Gunner to pass on the depth chart then. No easy task.

What a luxury this will be for the team though! After BK's first 2+ years it will be nice to see some "depth" at the QB position. I am confident that the younger guys understand this (and are made aware of it by the coaches during recruiting) and know that they will need to compete. That competitive attitude is a valuable asset to a successful QB too, and is probably something the coaches seek during recruiting.
