Comparing Neal to Woodson should be illegal.

Woodson was one of the best ever; Neal is a very good athlete with great speed.

Who is he comparable to in the NFL. Welker?

Can't be. Welker's white, and it is against Internet message board laws (and punishable by death) to compare a white athlete to a black one, even if they are EXACTLY alike. Which is why Tom Gugliatta and Wally Szczerbiak were compared to Larry Bird LOL instead of someone like Glenn Rice...

I honestly don't care where he lines up on either side of the field. He is gonna be used where needed most to help us earn the beautiful W's next to the even more beautiful letters ND on the schedule. Very glad he chose us!

MT @azc_obert: Luke Neal said he cud hardly recognize Davonte' during short break from #NotreDame. Says 10-12 pounds heavier with muscle.

Dumb as ****.

Sorry you can't take a joke my man. I just thought that everyone needed a good laugh, or at least a good shake of the fist after this past week of sadness and dark clouds over the psyche of the American mind. Lighten up a bit brother.

Since we're in the Neal thread, we may as well talk about him haha. I think he will have a great year. I also think its going to be easy for Golson to transition into starting role because of all the RB and slot talent we have. QB may not be a HUGE issue, if we rely on running out of spread and Golson's ability to scramble

I GUESS we can put it back OT! Sheesh... so demanding.

This kid will be getting solid PT early. I loved that he was one of the ones noted that showed up day 1 ready to play and in great condition. He's a huge get.

He really reminds me of Tate too, but I would be shocked if he were a significantly better athlete. Tate was a rare specimen. I think he has a chance to put up much better numbers his freshman year, though, because of the system, polish, and maturity.

Tate was very good. I'll rephrase.

Type of athleticism that isn't common at Notre Dame lately

Listed at WR and will wear #19 in first roster sheet of the fall practice.

So much for my CB theory. I still think he should play both ways.

The staff obviously feels he is more valuable simply focusing on what to do with the ball in his hands, and that Russell is athletic enough to make a move to CB and be productive there.

Do we know if he'll return punts/kickoffs? GA3 seemed to take care of that job last season pretty well.

Hope he isn't pissed that he isn't 3.

I doubt it.... every player wishes they could get the number they want, but at the end of the day it has nothing to do with the way they play. He will get over it the very second he touches the ball in Ireland. Then when he see's how many people are wearing # 19 in a few years we will not have any regret.
