How to block annoying signatures in Chrome

hahah I appreciate this thread as my computer pretty much freezes up every time I go on IE because of the crazy sigs... For some reason my phone can handle it tho... Tells you how old my computer is

IMO there is nothing wrong with a sig pic. As funny as the gifs I had in my sig in the past were, they even started annoying me when I started posting more again. At least the pic doesn't move so there are no distractions.

The thing about some sig pics is the size. Your sig pic, for instance, is 3x the size of the text in your post. It may not slow my computer down, but it's as visually appealing as neon green uniforms. Dshans had a good sized sig pic. jimmymac's is the right size, too.

Like everything else, sig pics are better in moderation. No need to clutter up the page with an enormous picture every time you post.

As much as I hate eliminating signature lines that are not a problem for me, I find this an elegant and egalitarian solution. Andy, I appreciate your efforts but AdBlocker doesn't work for me. It's probably a matter of my having antiquated (read: three years old) versions of Safari and FireFox.

For those still wondering what the hell is going on, somewhere in the bowels of the User CP is the option to zap all signature lines.

I must admit, I am a bit saddened by the outcome of this thread. I just wanted to share how to block the signatures that annoyed me/slowed down the page loads/were too large.

While I am glad some are gone, they are sadly outnumbered by those that I rather liked.

Hopefully they will slowly reappear in a manner more mindful of other's experiences (smaller files, smaller dimensions). I miss Bob and the Lebowski Crew's already..
