Elmer owned Taco. That's what I like to see.

McGovern was 1/2. Him and McGlinchey are going to need a few years but both have great potential.

For being a #1 prospect, Da'Shawn Hand wasn't dominant. I like Christian Loucoture.

Way to much is being determined from about thirty seconds of video. In fact, IMO, (first time I ever did that), this (w)hole fire drill has little to do with playing football, and more to to with ego stroking than anything else. (At least from an evaluation or extrapolation standpoint.) I saw more in film from McGovern over the course of recruit evaluation than I did of any other offensive lineman. He may be getting used to something he has never done before, or a different "speed" because of fellow recruit speed. It is just like that one rep of Deeb's which the gator posted.

I will stand by all of ND's recruits this year, let alone a beastly offensive line. They are hosses and will do just fine!

I am a huge Steve Elmer fan, our first commit and a real class young man.

Once Longo gets his hands on Elmer, Elmer will be a physical specimen. I can't believe that's a high schooler.

He looks the part of being a massive farm boy.

Wisco has done well with those types, lets hope he turns into a dominant RT protecting Zaire's blind side.

247 rated him as the #3 OL today.

But he was only allowed to participate in limited drills because of his State's rules I think...

We should all just agree to agree that Elmer is going to be a total beast and any doubts we had were the result of boredom.

Great for Steve! Looks like everyone was blowing up taco!

Not sure if everyone else was "blowing up taco," but Steve was. Put it as my prediction, Taco ain't it. The Michigan faithful are going to be woefully disappointed.

Can't knock on Taco. ND was his second choice and I'm sure ND would have taken him if he decided to come. Great kid but I'm surprised Steve took care of him because I have high expectations of Steve to be an elite tackle.

Not quite sure I understand are or are you not surprised? I am feeling kind of muddled this afternoon and from what I saw Steve really ate him up, with hot sauce. (I wanted to do that for a while.)

Maybe you could paint me a picture.

Steve got honorable mention in the "Physical Prowess" category from Mike Farrell's "Farrell Awards" from the Opening:

Honorable mention: ...Steve Elmer. Elmer, from Midland, Mich., has a great tackle body. He's massive at 6-foot-6 and over 300 pounds and he doesn't carry a ton of bad body weight. Once he gets into a college weight room and training program, he will be a monster.

Haha

Bear market

This award goes to the player who lowered his stock the most from the camp. While Pickerington (Ohio) Central defensive end Taco Charlton looks the part, he really struggled. He has great size, long arms and he is very athletic. However, he is also very upright, only has an outside move and when coaches tried to teach him misdirection or crossover, he didn't grasp it well at all. He was beaten on almost every 1-on-1 rep he took.
