PSU lock
I couldn't imagine being excited to play the schedule they play. Its so sad.
Once PSU gets hit with sanctions they should be forced to play a tougher schedule.

What's the 30 year return on investment Notre Dame vs. Penn State???...
I can't believe PSU is anywhere close...
You rang?
You're correct. ND offers 2.5x the degree value to prospective football recruits.

What happened at Penn State is a tragedy. Joe Paterno a brilliant man with so many admirable qualities but with fatal flaws - a lack of a real moral compass and an incredibly large ego. There is now a stench, a stink, a smell, surrounding, enveloping and engulfing this entire university, all its students, all its faculty, and all its graduates. Whatever any further investigation reveals on criminal culpability - moral culpability has been clearly established - this university through its football coach and on up through its highest administration officials enabled and aided a serial pedophile abuse and destroy many more victims because the football coach ran the university while the Board of Trustees was deaf, dumb and blind. It will take Pennslyvania State University decades to recover from the devestating damage.
I hope so. Their non-conference schedule is a joke.
2012 - Ohio, @ Virginia, Navy, Temple
2013 - Syracuse, Eastern Michigan, Virginia, Kent St.
2014 - Temple, Akron, @ Rutgers
2015 - @ Temple, Buffalo, Rutgers
2016 - @ Pitt, Temple
Plus they play a number of Big 10 stiffs every year.
Who would ever want to play a schedule like that? They have about 3 big games per year. Last year they dropped Michigan and Michigan St., and they got Indiana and Indiana St.
"Notre Dame doesn't necessarily turn you into a person I want to be around, but the people I want to be around choose Notre Dame. In other words, it's a selection process and it's a combination. Notre Dame doesn't necessarily turn people into a Notre Dame-type person, but the Notre Dame-type person chooses to be at Notre Dame. You can tell a lot about a person by who they choose to associate with, who they choose to partner with, and I think Notre Dame has a clear idea that it's a long-term relationship. It's a family. It's a lot about the Catholic traditions, even if you aren't Catholic . . .

Not to defend PSU here, but uh, they have no choice in who the BIG schedules.
