Honestly, and it's a shame for the kids, they shouldn't even be allowed to have a team anymore. All-time epic fail by leaders of young men. Very disturbing.

Once PSU gets hit with sanctions they should be forced to play a tougher schedule.

I hope so. Their non-conference schedule is a joke.

2012 - Ohio, @ Virginia, Navy, Temple
2013 - Syracuse, Eastern Michigan, Virginia, Kent St.
2014 - Temple, Akron, @ Rutgers
2015 - @ Temple, Buffalo, Rutgers
2016 - @ Pitt, Temple

Plus they play a number of Big 10 stiffs every year.

Who would ever want to play a schedule like that? They have about 3 big games per year. Last year they dropped Michigan and Michigan St., and they got Indiana and Indiana St.

You rang?

You're correct. ND offers 2.5x the degree value to prospective football recruits.

That Football ROI spreadsheet is a public Google document. Feel free to bookmark and share!

yeah, I've looked at it many times... I simply didn't want to spead time linking it for searching again...lol

thanks

anyway, with what that program is going through... the above ROI numbers... exposure and all the rest you'd think this would be an easy choice...

the only thing is what Lax and others mentioned... some simply don't want to go to ND for some reason or another... hopefully this kids gets it.

AA is s good kid, I honestly feel that ND is a better choice in regards to both athletics and academics. With the uncertainty hanging over the PSU program I think that the choice is a no brainer, but I’m close to 30 so I don’t have the same thinking process as a 16-18 year old. I will note that PSU probably has betting looking undergrads than ND so I’m sure that has some weight.

What happened at Penn State is a tragedy. Joe Paterno a brilliant man with so many admirable qualities but with fatal flaws - a lack of a real moral compass and an incredibly large ego. There is now a stench, a stink, a smell, surrounding, enveloping and engulfing this entire university, all its students, all its faculty, and all its graduates. Whatever any further investigation reveals on criminal culpability - moral culpability has been clearly established - this university through its football coach and on up through its highest administration officials enabled and aided a serial pedophile abuse and destroy many more victims because the football coach ran the university while the Board of Trustees was deaf, dumb and blind. It will take Pennslyvania State University decades to recover from the devestating damage.

Not to defend PSU here, but uh, they have no choice in who the BIG schedules.

This is something I came across at UND.COM:

"Notre Dame doesn't necessarily turn you into a person I want to be around, but the people I want to be around choose Notre Dame. In other words, it's a selection process and it's a combination. Notre Dame doesn't necessarily turn people into a Notre Dame-type person, but the Notre Dame-type person chooses to be at Notre Dame. You can tell a lot about a person by who they choose to associate with, who they choose to partner with, and I think Notre Dame has a clear idea that it's a long-term relationship. It's a family. It's a lot about the Catholic traditions, even if you aren't Catholic . . .

Irish Sports Daily seems to think Anzalone will pick PSU PSU Scandal: Its Impact On ND & Beyond

I have a hard time understanding a possible commitment to PSU. A lot more skeletons are gonna come screaming out of the closet in Happy Valley.

commit. If he decides to join the Irish, he will be back outside the top 100.

I know this has been touched on before but I want make sure I understand it. How can a kid who took a picture with a sketchy stalker ( not sure if I would give him the pedophile title) decommit because of that and then go to Penn state with all the stuff going on? The only explanation I can think of is that his brother, being part of the student body, is feeding him "no big deal crap". Also maybe that isn't the real reason for a recommitment from OSU, but these are meager reasonings. Sorry for the rant, just confused and hope he's Irish. Otherwise, good luck.
