Well according to posts further up the page we were in his top 6, then he made it a top 5 dropping us, but then he wanted to make a summer visit to ND. Going by that it seemed we were a player in this recruitment.

How far back we talking? On the 16th of May we weren't in his top 5, on the 21st of May he said there was limited interaction and wasn't planning on visit then on the 1st he said he planned on visiting with no news since until yesterday.

A source has now indicated to me that David has it narrowed down to three schools and that Penn State is in good shape. Apparently, the most likely destinations for Williams at this point are South Carolina, Wisconsin and Penn State.

ESPN 150 RB David Williams ready to decide - ESPN

Philadelphia Imhotep Charter running back David Williams is leaving the Mid-Atlantic.

The ESPN 150 prospect will announce his commitment on Jan. 4 at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Los Angeles.

“Me and my family talked about it after the recruiting period stopped and thought it’d be good,” Williams said.

Yeah, from what I've read S. Car. has basically shut down RB recruiting because they are expecting to get him ... Weren't both Folston and Bryant interested in S.Car., but they didn't have committable offers because of Williams?
