Maybe it would be helpful to put the roster somewhere on IE and have it include scholarship and non-scholarship players. Have this list updated when players leave, sign LOI or when other changes occur. This way folks can take a look at the roster and see where our scholarship count stands and avoid this issue in the future.
Am I right Whiskey?
Cool thanks Whiskey. But, you made one mistake....Eifert has a 5th year of eligibility that you didn't mark.Ask and you shall receive. Mods are free to sticky. I update it frequently.

damn you are correct, but if he wanted to he probably would be granted a medical year right? He played against Nevada as a Freshman, so he runs out of eligibility after this season. Normally I'd curse Weis for being so short-sighted with yet another star player, but we're lucky to have kept him this long.

I love the numbers crunch topic. The way I see it, every year you are allowed to sign 25 players.
There can be more depending on EE's because as you all know they count towards the last years class just stay within your max of 85.
Now, in my mind each year you start out saying that you will take 25 as long as they are the right 25.
All good points and I'll admit it is harsh, but the fact is kids get hurt and kids transfer. When you are a head coach you have to have a little protection or cushion if you will, in you back pocket for those instances. Out of curiousity, how many players have left ND early to the draft, been injured, kicked out of school, or transferred in the past 4 years. I'm guess close to 15, the number you said we would have to force out. Attrition takes care of this problem. I greatly do respect what you are saying though Whisky, I just view it a little differently.
I think that Eifert already got that year back.
I think the real difference here is whether you take 25 regardless of, or in response to, attrition. Doing it regardless of attrition would be pretty unethical, as it would frequently require ND to force kids out. Taking 25+ after attrition has already occurred is perfectly legitimate, and has happened in the past.
I'll bet anyone a million vbucks he commits publicly by the end of June
You're on.
Gkirish throw me in for that bet
Things are looking extremely good to say the least per ii. Could be anyday

I still don't think he does it
I do smell a stench.
To be honest.
I hope I'm wrong.
Maybe your nose is better than mine. Being that he has not verbally committed and therefore is not 100% I can't say that anything could possibly stink. Issac has not flipped after every visit, that stability suggests that he is approaching his recruitment from a very rational, calculated perspective. He has maintained that ND is his leader consistently and has made the long trek to South Bend twice (to my knowledge) His comments indicate that he continues to learn more about ND and the other contenders and that he is impressed with everything he has learned. (about ND) This young man seems to be a prototypical straight shooter who isn't going to lose his head and give an oral commit until he is certain. He still could commit elsewhere and to me that does not "stink". All we can expect of these young men is that they weigh the pros and cons of all the schools offering and when they are certain, commit verbally.
Per II, Rochell's dad says a commitment will come in October or November. Family was impressed with the small campus, Kelly, Swarbrick, and the graduation rate.
Pretty standard comments but the article paints the family in a very good and supportive light.
