#107 in new Rivals 250.

That's honestly better than where I thought he would wind up from all the talk about how poorly he performed at camps. Obviously analysts still think very highly of him, just not quite as high as before.

He will be fine when he steps on campus, he and his dad have admitted that Steven performed less-than-stellar at the camps, but they expect to get their high rankings in the end.

Yeah. It was good that he was one of the few OT's he pointed out specifically in his quick write up. Means he stood out, in a good way. Not worried about any of our OL at all.

That's great! I know he will go out there and rep us well! I'm sure he will have some motivation to reclaim his status on the recruiting lists even though I could care less where this monster is rated at! Make no mistake about it, he gon be good!

Yes. The kid has been run down unjustly and when he is on the field in Oregon with head to head matchups and side by side comparisons his stock will jump back up in no time.

Stumbled across a web site that had film breakdowns of our current 2013 commits and posted all of them to this thread. Now posting to the individual recruits thread.

The analysis is done by Matt Alkire who worked for Scout for a number of years. Here is his bio for anyone who cares

Matt Alkire is also employed by Fox Sports where he works as a college and high school football recruiting analyst, mainly covering the Northeast portion of the country for Scout.com where he coordinates with players, coaches and administrators at the high school and collegiate levels. He is a regular for many ESPN radio affiliates for both the NFL Draft and high school recruiting, contributes on a regular basis to Fox publications and was also featured in former New England Patriot All-Pro Brent William’s book “Recruit My Son”. He has been doing extensive film study since the 2003 season for the NFL Draft. As a football player, Alkire played both defensive end and tight end and comes from a family with a rich coaching background.

Elmer's weighing in at 308! Yikes. Rooming with a UNC commit, Ryan Switzer, at the Opening.

idk if one win will do that...if you think about it an O lineman wins prolly over 80% of pass plays any given game, but the 20% he loses can make him look really bad.

He beat Taco and Joe Mathis back-to-back... both really good prospects... his drop in the rankings has been ridiculous, IMO. He has the frame/tools to be an incredible OT. Whatever happened to projecting upside? Got beat by some fast/undersized DEs at one camp and dropped a completely unreasonable amount... from a 97 on 247 to now a 91 for example.... seems quite the overreaction.

He and his dad admitted that he wasnt ready for those camps and that is why he dropped. They both believe Elmer will climb back up in the rankings.
