Just read a article on the Alabama 247 site with a interview with Mattingly. He says that he likes that Bama is second only to Stanford in the number of people they Graduate.. ****ing Saban pulling made up stats out of his ***.

They offered him as a athlete.

Fixed.

Fixed again.

I feel like you are missing a noun or adjective in that comment. Care to re-read and clarify what it is he likes about Bama compared to Stanford?

That statement is close to being true if you limit it to the Caucasian GSR of 2012 BCS participants, but both Stanford and LSU are higher; so 'Bama comes in 3rd, even then. Edit: 'Bama's Caucasian GSR is actually higher than Stanford's, so it's 2nd only to LSU among 2012 BCS participants. How's that for a trip?

'Bama's overall GSR (69%) is above average, and it's Caucasian GSR (89%) is strong. Its Football ROI is low mainly due to weak degree value.

In any case, this bullsh!t is so easy to expose. I'm usually glad that ND doesn't indulge in negative recruiting, but this kind of misinformation cannot be left unchallenged.

I really need to start a Football ROI website...

Actually it's probably a true statement if your talking raw numbers, since their over recruiting in the last 5 years has caused twice as many recruits as everyone else, the total number of grads is probably higher, he just conveniently forgot to mention the number of non-grads.

That is exactly what I was thinking!

As for Mr. Mattingly, he's all Irish. You don't grow up a die-hard Irish fan, have an Irish fan for a coach, get an offer, and then bolt for the SEC. He'll be a great addition!

Or is he talking about the entire student body, not just football player?

Anyways, I like the idea that Bama offered him, offers always mean more to me than stars. Not gonna lie though, I like it when these kids have 4 or 5 of them!

With Jaylon on board, Mattingly would give our normal set a lot of versatility against the pass. Or are they slated for the same position?

I don't care if this kid is a 2 star guy, just watched his film and I WANT!!! He can rush the passer, cover a WR, make a spectacular catch/INT, block downfield, play QB, kick the extra point, and then paint ya back porch. The kid can do it all! Not to mention he is one of my favorite Baseball players nephew.

Prister and Sampson both called him the most underrated Notre Dame prospect.

Kid is very underrated. Look for his rankings to climb much like Counsell of two years ago. Any linebacker offered by Nick Saban has stud potential.

Oklahoma, Alabama, USC, and Texas all have high 4 :s: players sitting on the bench.

I'd rather have quality depth at OLB than TE though. Also, we already have quality depth at TE, not so much at OLB
