This is exactly why it's a bad idea to have fans tweeting recruits.

Also, I'm sure Ty is really offended by this guy unfollowing him. lol

can't say I am shocked, but I am a little surprised. It sounded like he was going to take more visits and then bam, yesterday he announces no more visits and then today he commits to USC.

Good luck to Ty at USC.

I wonder if Michigan's depth chart at RB had anything to do with it? I think Isaac would have played early at Michigan, I really think he is an elite player and prospect, but I am pretty sure USC is like paper-thin at RB.

2012 season Michigan has...
Fitz Tossaint, Junior (he may leave early if he has a big year)
Thomas Rawls, Sophomore (he is the likely starter if Toussaint leaves early)
Justice Hayes, RS Freshman (he is going to play for sure this year on ST's at least)
Stephen Hopkins, Junior (plays RB and FB, pretty much the short yardage back)
Dennis Norfleet, Freshman (according to Norfleet himself coaches told him they plan on playing him as a freshman)
Drake Johnson, Freshman (he is a definite redshirt IMO, was a pretty raw HS player)

2013 they are bringing in:
Deveon Smith
Wyatt Shallman (still not convinced he winds up at RB, he's like 250 pounds as a high school senior to be, but that is where coaches recruited him)

I think USC only has like 3-4 RB's on scholarship right now, one of which as a position switcher, and that they are losing the starter- Curtis McNeal to graduation after 2012. If Ty doesn't see the field as a freshman at USC then he just wasn't what we all thought he was, because they are literally paper thin there.

Yeah, you guys sure dodged a bullet...

No way. He's an awesome player, doesn't seem like a bad kid either. Wish he picked Michigan, but I think a big part of USC's appeal is that he is guaranteed to play right away at USC. If he doesn't start as a freshman there, something is definitely wrong.

Should have went to a real

The problem is, he should have gone. Only Walmart Wolverine (individuals) went.

Article from Inside the Irish. Good luck young man. You do realize however, you will not be getting the education you could be getting. Just saying.

“I had a great feeling about USC when I first visited the school and it just felt like me out there,” Isaac told EdgyTim.com. “I went out a second time last week with my Mom for another visit and I felt even stronger about playing for USC and my Mom agreed that it’s a great fit for me. I just really get along great with the coaching staff and the players and everyone around the program at USC. I know that even when I take football out of the picture I’ll be getting a great education and a degree from USC. I really wanted to go to a school that offered the best mix on and off the field and for me that is USC.”

that's a pretty good question. He's already in the 215's. Could easily wind up at 235-240 after a few years in a college strength program.

For as big as he is, he is a pretty finesse, slasher type runner. He's a 6'3, 215 pound elusive, speed back basically. Pretty good one at that.

One article compared him to Lendale White, pretty decent comparison IMO.

Not wishing bad on the kid, but one could see leg injuries being an issue with height and build.

Watching high school football tonight and they showed Ty leaving the field with a shoulder injury. They said he was taken to the hospital and hadn't heard anything on him yet.

Only two things in the shoulder area that would make him go to the hospital and are fairly common that I can think of are either a dislocation of the shoulder or a broken collar bone.

Also sort of common in high school athletes are anterior capsule tears (ripping of the stuff that holds the front of the shoulder joint together), AC ligament tear (the thing that holds the collarbone to the shoulder), and rotator cuff tear. I suppose we will wait and see.

just want to point out that a splenic rupture can cause shoulder pain too and look initially like a shoulder injury. Just came to mind since Jason Witten had a lacerated spleen...

Illinois high school football: Joliet Catholic's Ty Isaac injures shoulder in No. 10 Joliet Catholic's loss to Providence - chicagotribune.com

By Brian Hedger, Special to the Tribune

(Isaac is) waiting to get his X-rays right now. They don't think it's a fracture, but he's probably going to need an MRI next week to really get a good look inside and see what the damage is. We'll find out if there's a fracture with the X-ray, and then he's going to have to get an orthopedic exam and get an MRI, so hopefully ... I know he's going to be out for a while. Let's hope it's for a short while.

Already in the 215's. 215.2, 215.3?

Yup, but the spleen only refers pain to the left shoulder. Not sure which was bothering him.

I found out some interesting news about Ty. So my dad and I were hanging out at ND in front of the gates where the VIP's get access into the stadium on Saturday and started talking to people around there. We ended up talking to a "friend" of Tom Lemming who follows Midwest recruiting, this guy is from Chicago. He said to "watch" Ty's committment with USC, that he could decommit and consider the Irish depending on what Laquon Treadwell does.

I seriously doubt this happens with every ounce of my soul....

That being said.... I will literally kiss you on the mouth if Isaac decommitted from USC. You don't want to know what I would do if he then committed to us...

What did this guy do to merit banning? His posts in this thread seem so calm and rational. Is somehting deleted? Or did he go all Wolverine in another thread?
