Damn - I was hoping for a different result...
I feel he just stuck up his nose and pissed on me because I’m the other side of the tracks/Ash Road, lol. My house is $400k plus I promise!! Lol.

Granger address does have some sort of clout around here… if they just moved Ash Rd about 200 yards East I’d be the cool Granger. Lol.

My hometown has no attachment to ND but did produce Mitch Kupchak, James “Buddy” McGirt, EPMD, Craig Mack, and Biz Markie for you hip hop fans.

My hometown is good ole Valpo. I have family all along Northern Indiana. From Fort Wayne to Valpo - Griffith, Auburn, Kouts, Crown Point, New Haven.
The best pizza anywhere comes from Salvatori's Authentic Italian Eatery, a small family owned chain in Fort Wayne. I make it a point to stop there anytime I'm heading to South Bend from Ohio. I've only been to the New Haven location, which is oddly situated next to a gas station in the middle of nowhere. You would never guess they'd have the most amazing pizza based on the spot.

My hometown has some kind of race scheduled for this Sunday. Apparently, it’s a big deal. 😉

Saturday we had lunch at Big Woods on Main St. Speedway is always a good time during the month of May.
Even the non-race fan should go at least once. The experience is so much more than just a race.

Here in Indy, my HS produced Sheldon Day, while my kids HS produced LaRon Moore who played CB for the Irish in the early 90's. Passed away in early 2021.

My hometown is where this guy died. Might have been one off the founding fathers at ND, I don’t know.

It’s hilarious. When we moved I basically had two days to buy a house. We put in an offer and it was accepted. I sent the link to my brother and I thought he was joking when he said “you realize you live in Elkhart School district”. I thought it was a typo until I called my realtor. It’s insanely funny how people will always say “but you live in Elkhart County”. I deserve it, I didn’t do my homework. 😂

I’ll give you a pass if you only promise to shop at Gucci Martins and not the knock off Martins next to the railroad tracks.

My hometown is just across the border. The only ND connection is our former QB Cameron Ekanayaka walked on as a RB at ND. His Mom works there.

Ciras Gas Station?
No they had a grocery store in downtown Granger about 30 years or so ago that was originally by the fire station. Then they built a brand new location west of the railroad tracks but it closed after a few years and became a Martins. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been through that area, so nothing maybe same now. That was the Martins I thou huh t you were talking about. I grew up in Granger from about 1989-1998 when I graduated from high school in 98.

That's the martins I’m talking about. They built a “fancier” martins about 5 miles west of that locations. I’m actually from Niles, MI. Lived there until 09. Please keep that to yourself as I am a self proclaimed Indiana boy now

My hometown is Youngstown, Ohio, and I went to Cardinal Mooney, so we’ve got ties to ND and all over college football. We had the McCarthy brothers recently, but also the school’s legend head coach, Don Bucci, was an alum and Regis’s roommate in college!

Outside of the program, the DeBartolos and Yorks went to Mooney, so they’ve got a building or two on campus.

As if my name didn't give it away...hometown is Terre Haute. I 'm back working in the family business, but I never really cared for it and I still don't. I really wanted to get out of Indiana in its entirety. However, I only moved away from TH briefly for college (Notre Dame), and South Bend was certainly no real upgrade from TH, which put me in a funk for a year or so. I really, really wanted to go to Georgetown, but the Jesuits didn't accept my application. It probably wouldn't have mattered as I had a lot of family persuasion and pressure to attend Notre Dame.

Ahh, I'd forgotten that you & I used to be almost neighbors. I lived in Custer for over a decade until 2022. I'm now in Montana. Deadwood's a neat little town. My wife & I used to go up there for weekend getaways occasionally.
