Floating around the forum this morning, I'm posting in multiple areas including outdoor sports (hunting), soccer, and knives. All interests of mine. Another one is wristwatches. Any other horological aficionados out there?

I probably own about 20 watches, mostly used, mostly retro, and mostly somewhat cheap in the grand scale of watches.

I've got six pieces I wear regularly. It's an expensive hobby and I haven't bought anything in the last couple of years as prices have just exploded!!!

I have a wee bit of a fetish...

My crown jewel is a 1939 Omega that my Grandfather brought to this country after WWII.

Started a collection in my teens (pocket watches too). I'm mostly trying to gather as many different types (size, color, material) that I can and worry less about quality at this point since I can't afford the really nice ones.

Glad I didn't start this one... But yes I'm a watch guy too. Mostly dive/military style watches. I rotate a couple Citizen pieces regularly, my favorite is below with some other edc items:

Quite right, it is indeed an expensive hobby. I was lucky, my former boss gave me a Rolex GMT Master with the Pepsi Bezel for my 25th Anniversary in the golf business. I had one when I was younger and sold it for nursery furniture when my first child was born. He remembered that and bought me one. I also found a Heuer Monza Chronograph which needs some work so I hope to get that running one day. Its a beautiful timepiece.

Have really thought about learning how to repair/restore/mod. Too many hobbies & interests though. Maybe retirement.

Do you wear cargo pants all the time to carry all your everyday carry items? Or do you wear a fanny pack?

If you ever see me wearing cargo pants... That means I'm feeling REAL serious ;)

If I was a patient of yours, I guess I'd probably feel better about you if you were wearing cargo pants instead of a fanny pack?

Same, I don't know newly enough about timepieces. At least compared to steel/fishing/hunting. Can't wait to get into archery and fly fishing.

I probably have 10 after giving some away. My favorites are Tags, Omegas, Breitlings, and Ebel. My favorite is probably my Titanium 1000M Chrono Avenger M.

Sounds very cool. Post a pic if you can.

I have one that's called an iphone. I carry it around with me where I go. It just fits right inside my pocket comfortably so I can't have to wear something annoying on my wrist all day. It really comes in handy.

No I promise I didn't do that to you. It was a gift. Just needs a new band and one of the chronograph buttons. Very vintage looking timepiece. Got to say you have exquisite taste though:)

Ebay is the bane of my existence when it comes to watches. Just bought my wife a new one on that flea market last week. Last purchase for me was a Majestime manual wind with a cool dial. I love those older watches.

YJ, you've already outpaced me with those brands. I'd love an newer Omega but have settled for a vintage Seamaster and a few Orients/Citizens. My high end is very low.

I bought a Rolex from a guy I got an email from a few months ago.

It runs like shit, but it sure looks good.

I have 5-6 I rotate. Nothing more like like $500 retail. Bulova, Citizen etc...(I paid nowhere near retail of course). I would like to get more and some higher end ones at some point.

I've got a nice Citizen my wife got me for Fathers Day a while back. After wearing for quite a few years I put it away to eventually give to one of my boys. I also own two Lamborghini's (same family that makes the car). I really like them, Swiss movement and nice looking. Looking to pick up another here eventually.

I have a pretty nice Bulova I received as a gift form my GF. I'm a huge watch fan and would like to start a collection, but honestly I have no clue where to start.

The only watch I own is a Citizens Titanium Eco Drive that my wife bought me about 12 years ago to match my titanium wedding ring. It's always worked great and I think it's an awesome watch.

There's no right place to start. It's really just what you like. I started with a few Movados, then moved to Tags. Not a big fan of the newer Movados. You can get a really nice Tag for under a $1000 if you shop. Sam's and Costco has a pretty good selection of nice watches believe it or not. Costco has more high end. Jarred also has some great deals if you are patient. They run specials called "vault values" several times a year as the new models come out. Got a $3500 Tag Link with diamonds for around $1500 about 6 years ago. It was really the first expensive one I bought.
