"I have here a Casio".

Reps to anyone who knows the movie.

Such a great movie . . . I miss John Candy. Some other good John Candy movies are The Great Outdoors, Uncle Buck and Space Balls

This Lamborghini is the one I wear most everyday. It needs a new crystal. Probably should get the bezel replaced as well.

I have a pretty nice Bulova I received as a gift form my GF. I'm a huge watch fan and would like to start a collection, but honestly I have no clue where to start.

Buy what you like... and can afford. I would also add that watch collecting is an expensive hobby and that you will most likely lose money if you buy a piece new and resale it later. That does't even take into account the regular maintenance that may be needed (less so with newer pieces). Good reasonably priced watches that most collectors start with are Seiko's (almost every collector I know still loves his orange monster), Hamiltons and Bulovas. Sinn is a bit more expensive but provides cool pieces that are well respected and often vey innovative. Omega then Rolex are a bit more expensive but great every day watches. Rolex have historically held their value well. Once you get in the Audemars, Vacheron and Patek you will know you have serious issues. Hope this helps!

I'm more in to the vintage. I've looked before but always refrained from purchase or bid as I fear being raped in price or being sold a fake

You can buy fake Rolex's for $25 all day long in NYC.

Exactly... about buying what you like, and can afford. I buy a watch for myself about every two to three years. Buyers remorse often follows for a couple days or weeks LOL.
Also, when you're buying Audemars, Vacheron, and Patek, you might have issues, but money isn't one LOL!

The only watch I own is a Citizens Titanium Eco Drive that my wife bought me about 12 years ago to match my titanium wedding ring. It's always worked great and I think it's an awesome watch.

Bob - We essentially own the same watch. I knew, given enough time, we would find something other than ND football in common.

I absolutely can't stand the look of a rubber band or the feel of a metal band so I'll only wear leather. I think the best luck I've had buying watches has been on cruise ships. The two I wear currently are a brown Citizen and cheap black Fossil.

PS, if you like tactical watches, check out luminox. not to pricy, but very cool. I have a blue faced chronograph. it keeps the glow on the markers better than any high end watch I've had. I think the seals or some special forces use, or used it.

I've been looking for this one lately (the red circle has no hand and is the second (hand)-just rotates around):

For mil watches outside of Luminox, you could look at Traser, or at a higher price point, LumTec. Better yet, go to Dagaz watches and have a Seiko customized or look at their unique build ur own selection. Bad Azz IMO.

the zodiac is smooth. I just looked at LumTec. Like them a lot. Curiously only one chrono.... Am I missing something?

nope-it's all in what you want. I have chronos and typically only like the look, not that I use it. When needed, I usually have my High Gear digital on. If your looking for a time hack feature, ensure the watch has that hack ability (when you unscrew and pull the crown out, the second hand will stop).

Sorry if I'm being obvious

Who prefers right hand or left hand? And is it your dominant hand or not? Metal or leather band?

Metal band on the left hand. Call me traditionalist since I am right handed.
