That had to be a straight error. If Boegarts takes his time, Molina is out by six feet. It was a great fielding play, but a rookie hurry.

I keep thinking freese will find the October magic he is known for, but it just isn't happening.

Why is David Freese still starting? For what he did 2 years ago? Not as good as a fielder as options on the bench and doing nothing with the bat either. Put Wong at second and Carpenter at third

Not for nothing, but the stage is too big for Adams, Carpenter is flat, and Decalso and Jay are just overmatched; can't they stick Craig at first base? He's a real hitter and it's the GD World Series.

How do you get picked off to end the game!? That CANNOT happen. The Cards are a good team and they have played very sloppy in crucial situations, which have led to both of their losses IMO.

The swing on the 2-0 count in the 8th inning was awful too. It's called a "hitters count" at 2-0 or 3-1 for a reason.

I still can't believe John Lackey pitched last night. Crazy.

You could say the same thing for the Red Sox. The winning team has capitalized on the other's mistakes.

As for what's going to happen tonight...the team that makes the most mistakes is going to win!

Uehara was filthy in that at-bat against Adams at the end of the 8th. Three pitches.

Ortiz is on fire but here's what I don't get and never have (and I am not being facetious): Why don't opposing teams knock him on his can? I never see anyone move him off the plate. The guy's a good hitter, but any major leaguer is a better hitter when he's comfortable, hanging out over the plate, diving into the ball. I really think the Cards need to make him move his feet.

(General point, not directed at anyone in particular: I think baseball ought to outlaw the armor that many batters wear on their front shoulder. What the hell is that? The pitchers need a little equal protection.)
