When a team has a ball in the attacking third they will always let them play it out... once it's cleared the game ends... that's what happened.

They wait for it to change from the defensive third to the mid-third. Uruguay could have turned it over and given Italy a chance to score.

When a team has a ball in the attacking third they will always let them play it out... once it's cleared the game ends... that's what happened.

The stated extra time is not an exact number. It is designed to create drama for TV.
