Definitely a lot closer than I thought it would be, but ultimately the better squad came out on top. Canada had plenty of chances, but no excuses, the Americans got it done.

Props to Knight on a great career. She's captained the American rise to supremacy in the women's game. Bitter sweet for our ladies to lose, but I'm happy to see Knight go out a winner!

Even though it worked for us twice in 24 hours I hate 3v3 for knockout games,… changes the entire dynamic and becomes almost more or of an all star skills comp than typical team on team,… I guess you can say that about shootouts too but still. I like it for nhl reg season games but yeah,… not for a high stakes thing like a gold medal match

Not sure if women practice 3 on 3 or not, that was some sloppy play on both sides

I'm probably the only person here who watched figure skating lol, but Alysa Liu just brought home the gold for USA. First medal for the US in 20 years I think they said. Really captivating performance.
My brother-in-law came over this morning and set up a VPN for me to connect to Canada, so I was able to watch live from the CBC, much better than NBC. I normally never watch sports that are judged, too much room for favoritism, but I agree in this case. That young lady did a wonderful job.

An Italy vs Korea women’s curling match would make for a very talented matchup,………… too bad Columbia didn’t qualify

Her skating was INCREDIBLE. She was almost non-chalant; but in an incredibly captivating way.

What a day for the US!

What a day yesterday. Don't forget about Amber Glenn. She had the second-best free skate of the day. If she were able to land two triple loops, one in each skate, she at least has the bronze and probably the silver.

Her first leg of the singles competition really killed her. But she was also great.

The real champions leave it all out on the ice when its crunch time
That is why Michelle Kwan got beat twice; Lipinski and Hughes let it all hang out and she did not when it counted

What a hockey game. Olympic hockey has been fantastic, especially on the men's side. The drama has been palpable. Let's hope USA vs Slovakia is another classic!
