Been watching bits & pieces of Big Ten media day today.

Interesting which teams are doing what with PSU. Bilema & Dantonio both said they aren't actively recruiting players while Illinois sent a bunch of assistant coaches to recruit guys

O'Brien is on now on ESPNU

Michael Mauti, senior linebacker at Penn State, was just on ESPN dropping knowledge. Did you know Penn State is #1 in academics? That they graduate over 80% of their players? That no other school can say that?

Saw some tweets recently indicating that several PSU players reached out to the Illini staff before this whole thing blew up. Somewhat vindicates Beckman, if true.

Seriously. This Facebook post from Lydell Sargeant was circulating on Twitter after the sanctions were handed down. I have no idea what AP ranking they're citing, but PSU's GSR is 87%. That's not even close to #1.

Was just reading about him. Didn't know if we would offer. I wonder if he can play DB? It was also reported earlier that he would be the only current PSU commit we are likely to target... does not appear we will go after Brenneman or Sickels at all. Brenneman I understand, Sickels not so much.

Sickles is a highly rated CAT type LB that we need. Similar to EO, Sherit, and Muhammad... I would only take Muhammad over Sickles from that list.

I would love to take all three.

Sickles is obviously talented and could slot into the CAT and make this LB haul even more ridiculous than it is.

Brennemen who would need a year anyways in strength and conditioning and #1 TE. I honestly believe Kelly is on the multiple TE set for his spread bandwagon. Its the new wave, especially when you have TEs that can block and are match up nightmares. You can flex them, motion them, and they can still help you run power from the shotgun single back.

Fuller if and only if he can play CB.

I sincerely hope this will be the year Les Miles is exposed for the coach he really is. He has had some of the best luck I have ever seen. He has made some of the stupidest in game decisions, AND THEY WORK, imaginable. Maybe the championship game will be a Preview for this season

I stand corrected on Khairi Fortt. Transferred to Cal. Don't know why.
