Singer seems pretty pessimistic about our flip targets.
Beasley didn’t come to the OSU game as once planned. He’s probably out.
Carter Nelson probably won’t leave home. Doesn’t sound like he is coming to the USC game, which was ND’s big chance.
And Justin Scott flat out isn’t coming to ND. If he flips, it’s to Michigan. He just doesn’t want to put the effort in to ND.

Agree I don't think there's any chance Nelson leaves Nebraska

Class would be mildly disappointing if we can’t flip Beasley and/or Nelson tbh
That's why they need to beat Louisville and split with USC and Clemson. We need a 10 win season for the 2025 class. Had Freeman overruled Tommy boy and gotten a decent grad transfer QB last year we would've finished with 10 wins and probably added 1-2 more blue chip recruits in the 2024 class.

I feel like have about an equal amount of sources as Singer, so if his thoughts are shared I guess I will share mine.
I'm currently sitting at 41% shot at Carter Nelson, 31.5% with Beasley, 17.8% with Nnamdi Ogboko, and 1.2% with Justin Scott
To be fair, a Portuguese sailor shipwrecked for 15 years on North Sentinel Island has an equal amount of sources as Singer.

They really need to beat both.
ND is better than Clemson. Clemson’s offense just isn’t good.
And ND needs to beat USC at home. That’s a must win. USC always has ridiculous talent at QB & WR, but ND beats them at home.
I honestly don’t think there is anybody clearly better than ND this year. If they go 11-1 & sneak into the CFP, they could actually win it.
But losing to OSU probably cost them that chance. Because Michigan will beat them & get in. SEC team will get in. Clemson losing to FSU screwed ND. And the PAC and Big12 will both have a good/great candidate this year.
ND needs chaos now, even at 11-1.
But if they get in, watch out.

That is not fair to Singer because a Portuguese sailor shipwrecked on North Sentinel Island would have no access to Loy.
Singer being clueless is the new Chuck Norris. The legend grows…and I’m here for all of it!

USC is clearly soft on D and ND is > than Colorado's. USC wont be able to make it a shootout.

Did something actually change, or become new since Carter's "IDK what I'm going to do" quotes a few days ago?

Did Nebraska lock him down for good last weekend?

Some are feeling less confident because he isn't going to be able to make it to the USC game and the staff was pushing for it

Where’d you see that? Loy posted 3 minutes ago they’re still hoping to get him there and he’s waiting for an update

Nebraska is going to keep losing, our TEs are going to keep racking-up the catches, yards, and highlights. You stay on Nelson until the end.

Won't happen, but say Georgia loses regular season.

ND will absolutely have a better resume if they go 11-1 than any 1 loss SEC team.

No way in Hades a 1-loss SEC champ gets left out.
ESPN runs the stupid CFP, & is always pushing that a 2 loss SEC team is better than everyone else.
A 2 time defending National Champ, 1 loss SEC Champ UGA, not only gets in, but probably gets top seed.

I think our 2024 class will be final in the 10-12 range. Typical ND class but with a bent to better Offense.

Freeman needs to focus on Defense closing. Losing Scott is not good. Michigan doing well is not good for ND. Similar recruits

How many UM commits have an actionable ND offer this cycle? 5?

We can’t have lost Scott if he was never actually ours lol.

Agree other then them as 1 seed, but we’ll still most likely have better resume beating Clemson and usc with last second osu loss

If we are 11-1, almost impossible to say we’re not one of the top 4, somehow they will… a year like 2020 where we’re not good enough to be in and get in

I think Georgia gets beat by Kentucky this week
Every year recently UGA struggles against a team like Auburn, then completely obliterates ranked teams the following week. See Tennessee last year.
UGA plays up against their competition.
Don’t be surprised if they beat UK by 30+

We were favored for him but backed off. The staff backed off the Chicago market and Scott and then tried to back track but it was too late. Just a mess. Learning curves.

The UM / ND recruiting universe is so much bigger than that - includes recruits that were not offered because recruits were already strong with UM. It’s a big issue.

Enough about Scott. Scott is good but he is a project that probably won't see the field until year three and in the meantime we would have to listen ND fans complaining why a 5 star recruit isn't on the field and we should fire Golden and Washington for not getting him ready sooner.

What 5 stars? We have none. Sorry you are defensively upset but our DL recruit is not great and losing him hurts. Calling him a project is a silly statement. Do better. :)

Jamie uyeyama - who most agree is one of the best at film breakdown - considers Scott a project
