Who's Next? - 2023 Edition

Not sure where to put this, but I watched Irish Breakdown's Youtube show yesterday with Driskell and Shaun Davis.

-ND could get 8 more public commitments (1 RB, 2 WR, 1 OL, 1 DL, 1 LB, 2 DB) by the end of July. Possibly 9 if you include Flores (more on that below). They believe the minimum number will be 5, and that's if all hell breaks lose.

-Driskell feels that Flores will go to OSU if they give him the green light, but that's not certain because they are trending for at least 2 WR's higher on their board (Innis and Rogers). He has always been a take for ND.

-They feel good about the following players: Jeremiyah Love, Jaden Greathouse, Ronan Hanafin, Charles Jagusah, Monroe Freeling, Jason Moore, and Jaiden Ausberry. Micah Bell is another name but he hasn't been on campus.

-Things are trending in a positive direction with Christian Gray. Shaun said he feels good with where things currently stand with Gray and that he'd pick ND if he had to decide right now. Mentioned that Gray and Jeremiyah Love are friendly and have been talking about ND.

-Caleb Downs really likes ND but the sense is that Bama and UGA lead. His OV will be ND's last chance.

-Staff wants Elijah Paige and the visit will be big. They don't think as of right now that ND is his top choice.

Hanafin is a 4 star talent whether its at WR or safety and I would bet has a better career than Greathouse. Kid just glides.

I think Otting pops soon. Maybe Larsen as well. Really hoping Rees forces the QB dominoes to fall this month too.

No shot. They’re trying to be credible. They do that and any little bit they have is gone. The way they’re hyping it up it’s definitely a player

Singer will be the same place he always is, waiting for Loy to report something so he can find out for the first time himself.

247, Rivals, ISD, all report something in the morning, and after everyone knows & it’s made it to the free boards, Singer will put it in his “Lucky Charms” at 9pm as “inside info.”
He has no contacts or inside info.

On Driskell & Shaun Davis’ podcast from yesterday Driskell almost let slip ND silents. Then noted there are kids, so plural, who committed a long time ago but haven’t announced yet.

If you have Twitter, you can follow their account and at 9, they have a space where the announcement will take place. It’s essentially a live podcast that has the option to be recorded, but IPC has not recorded their previous spaces. They’re very popular with recruits.

But it seems like it must have a little more juice than that. Maybe that’s flawed logic but it’s what I’m thinking.

In reading through Moore page there are no posts indicating that ND has given up on Moore. This announcement is surprisingly odd; especially with the Moore & Carr speculations.

If James did go to ‘22, after Payne did too, would ND’s class then move from 6th to 5th in the rankings?
