Really ready for someone to commit. Hunter spears, kenyatta, somebody . . .

Hey NDIrish88, if Kenyatta Wilson commits by the end of the day, I'm going to ask that you use your magic powers to add a few 5 stars to the class this cycle. Preferably Ohio St. and USC targets if possible.

CB's rolling in for Salim Turner-Muhammad, from Loy and Wiltfong. I'm going to roll with that. He's taking multiple visits but I'll say he's next to pop, shortly after these visits.

Sam Howell

He does have all the offers, and higher rated than Cade.

What are the odds we get back in with Dylan Morris? Looks like he was an either/or situation with McNamara last summer and when Cade jumped first, he committed to hometown Washington. Any shot there?

I really have no idea how the ND/Morris relationship was handled after Cade committed first and Dylan committed to UDub but it seems slimey for ND to raise a stink about their QB commit not being 100% committed and then turn around and offer a committed guy that they didn't want bad enough to hold a spot for.

I just think there are better QB's out there. Obviously I've liked Bachmeier and Shrader since the beginning. I heard from an analyst that Howell was very high on the list and it sounded like to me, was #3 in the 13 QB tryout ND put on last spring. That's why I put his name down.

Would love to one Marcus hicks he is the perfect rush DE

I like him too but I've followed his local and regional news and he just doesn't mention ND like a kid who has ND in his lead group. Basically it's OU and then both OSU's with a dash of Michigan sprinkled in.

I was shocked when it was announced he'd be at JDII

Only real news to report from this weekend so far is Colt Ellison? Hopefully there's some other rumblings out there. AL popping would be great

So Ellison visits ND and that same weekend CB goes to TCU and ND has been leading this entire time. What the hell

I'm not gonna press the pain button or anything because I've seen how this has played out in the past, but football recruiting sure has been floating down shit creek for a little while.

What could have possibly happened that crystal balls started flowing in for a different school less than 24 hours after a visit? Especially a recruit where Notre Dame was a the presumed favorite. I don't really buy the depth charting the issue because it doesn't take a 2-3 hour flight to the midwest to realize who is on the d-line depth chart.

Sounds like you’re hitting the panic button. Maybe he visited and didn’t like it. Maybe the recruiting analysts were actually wrong and we weren’t the favorite. Our DB recruiting finished great last year and we had none at this point. There’s plenty of time to get recruits. Let’s relax.

If we don’t land Nana, it’ll be time to hit the panic button. The last two recruiting cycles have produced a grand total of two DEs, neither of which appear to be difference makers. It sounds like we’re still in good shape for Rodas Johnson, but the board that looked so promising early on has basically fallen apart.

This is 2017 cornerback recruiting all over again, just with d-ends this time. They're gonna land the guys that can win games. But whats happening with Ellison is just straight up unacceptable.

Unacceptable because he wants to be close to home. Should Elston pick up the Golden Dome and move it to Aledo?

This is comical how some are reacting to news lately.

Is that whats being reported? If so, thats cool. Thats a legit reason.

And the reactions you're seeing are probably because out of the 27 d-ends that have been offered, we probably lead for only one of them (Miamen). And he is the lowest rated DE with the fewest amount of P5 offers. It shouldn't be this hard after a 10 win season and a decent defensive performance last season.

Not sure why he'd post this if he can't get over the distance issue...

We should be getting better DE given the fact that they could probably start right away. I mean daelin okwara and Khalid are gone after 2020. Nana could compete day one. Zach Harrison starts day one.

Sounds like Cross could pop next weekend.

Miamen has to have ND way out in front.

As a pure pass rusher, Mataio Soli is a better prospect than NaNa or Colt (not a knock, I like both a lot) and he has no offer yet.

Ty Robinson from AZ is better than both, has an offer. Marcus Hicks is in play but ND doesn't lead. Maybe NOT getting NaNa or Colt helps get him if Michigan and OU fill up?

Isaac Townsend , Beau Robbins, JJ Weaver, Dontay Hunter, Moses Akpala, Mossai Newsom, RJ Oben, all are waiting or offers.

A guy like Gabe Newburg from Ohio who no one knows ended up at Michigan and ND never made a move. Dude's gonna be a monster. These guys are everywhere. Cam Mattox is a beast, it's all on film to see and he's visited.

Then there's MJ Anderson and Etinosa Reuben from MO who have offers and ND is probably in good position with them.

And I know I'm forgetting guys.

They just to recruit with a bigger net and offer when the time is right.

Can't have a cycle when an O'Rourke and a Waggoner don't get offers and you end up short.

Yeah, It's April, the guys can't even sign for another 8 months. I think the early signing period has freaked some fans out since its been 4 months since most of ND's 2018 class signed.

I feel like the "big" recruiting weekends are producing less than last year.

They are but the whole dynamic has changed with the ESP and the Early OV.

Plus last year's class is still fresh in your mind... This time last year they already had 12-13 players commit which is definitely not the norm for April.

For some perspective, USC has 1 commit at this time. And it’s a 3 star WR rated #435 overall.
