Stanley has to get on campus before I throw him in the mix.

Banner enjoyed his visit but his comments didn't sound as over the top as his comments following his Michigan visit.

Peat is fading for sure. I still think he ends up in Lincoln.

Diamond just doesn't seem to be an ND kid. His family loves ND, but Jordan just seems on the fence about it.

Theus is a bulldog unless they lose Richt. If that happens, we have a great chance. However, don't expect that to happen because Georgia is about to win the SEC East.

Kyle Murphy likes ND but I think he stays on the west coast. Look for Stanford to win out.

Garnett is almost a lost cause at this time. Stanford and UW look good with Michigan sitting there as well.

OL recruiting is discouraging in my opinion right now. Our rivals are stocking up on the lines (Michigan, USC and Stanford) while we seem to be on the outside looking in on a lot of guys.

Long way to go!

You can say that again. We've got Decker, Elmer and Harrell though!

Jones will be on DL, in my opinion.

Don't forget about Prestwoods full eligibility either.

If we get Armstead, Jones will go to OL. Armstead did say his visit was a 10 so we have a good shot at him

Yeah didn't even think about Prestwood. I still think Jones is a better fit on the O-Line but we will see. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Prestwood certainly helps. He's been on campus and been able to practice with the team and will have four full years.

I really think we need one more solid OL in this class. Still think passing on Destefano hurt.

Stanley or Banner is a must in my mind.

Why is Destefano, why didn't we offer him, and is it too late to make a push for him if he's so good?

He's short. Staff didnt like him. If we offered we would of been a commitment was the rumor.

He is also a top 75 player according to ESPN. They are pretty spot on with their OL recruit placement.

I doubt they could make any kind of push with him now considering he is a Clemson commit. Not only are they undefeated but he most likely has a grudge against the staff. Kind of like a Tommy Schutt situation.

We have a ton of young OL talent on campus already, BIG boys too. We have another monster coming in Decker, and Harrell who will be a nice interior lineman for us. We have one of the best tackles in the nation on board already for next year, and we are sitting pretty with quite a few elite OL in the 2013 cycle. I am not worried about OL recruiting.

Guys with multiple years of eligibility remaining
Z. Martin
Lombard
Watt
Carrico
Hanratty
Hegarty
N. Martin
Nichols
Prestwood

Add in Harrell and Decker and then Elmer and two or three other guys in next years class and OL is not going to be a problem for years to come.

The majority of the players on your list have zero game experience. The best teams recruit 4 OL every year. OL prospects are very hit or miss. Just because they are "BIG" boys, doesn't mean they are good lineman. You need OL depth, end of story.

We have O-line dept, and plenty of it. Next year we will have Martin, Cave and Watt all back. Lombard has will be ready to play next year. Almost every team has to break in at least 1 O-lineman every year, the trick is to not have to replace 3 or 4 in one year, something we will not really have to do. Nobody knows what any backups can do until they get in the game, and that goes for Notre Dames backup guard the same as it goes for Alabama's backup guard.

The #1 team in the country, LSU, signed two offensive lineman last year. One of which, was a 3*.

Alabama (#2) only has one offensive lineman so far in their 2011 class, he is a 3*.

Oklohoma State (#3) took three offensive lineman last year, all 3*'s.

Boise State (#4) also only took three Olineman last year. Two of which were 2*'s and the other a 3*. According to Rivals, they do not have a single offensive lineman over a 3* on their entire roster.

But we aren't pulling in the Olineman like the "big boys".... right....

Do you have any other sure factoids you would like to put an "end of story" on?

We don't recruit OL prospects to come in and play right away. Your missing the point. If Decker or Harrell see the field next year, that's a problem. The point is to continue to build depth. Your focusing far to much on next year.

Yup, it's been such a huge problem for LSU, Bama, OKst and Boise. So those teams don't have to worry about their Olineman playing early, but we have to? Even though we have recruited better at the oline than all of these teams as of recently and currently have a great oline with one guy leaving? Crazy.... we must be doing something wrong.
