I'm not a big Sabbath/Ozzy fan but this song was simply ethereal... and this version with the back story is gut wrenching. Lived it.
Did you know Black Velvet started as a James Brown impersonator lol.
That cover is incredible, but so is Sabbath's original.
When I was a kid, my older cousins would pass down their albums to me. Vol4 was one of them in the late 70s or early 80s. I guess it wasn't considered a good one. I was totally blown away by Changes. Wish I still had the vinyl.
Speaking of vinyl, I pulled out a few today. Deep Purple's Machine Head, and Ted Nugent's Double Live.... Side D... 1) Wang Dang Sweet Poontang, 2) Cat Scratch Feever, and 3) Motor City Madhouse...
Like Eric Church, I've been having a Record Year...

He ain't Cornell but it's all we got.
I've been in part of your zone today. Listened to several Cornell songs. Nothing Compares 2 you, Hunger Strike, Like a Stone, and Black Hole Days. Never heard of Post War, but I'll check them out.
Cory Taylor and Cornell have always reminded me of each other. Not voice or style, but range of style and multiple bands.
