I learned that putting your gloves together to show your logo to the crowd is the DUMBEST personal foul penalty in the history of man. Let a team celebrate. Fortunately Sparto screwed up that gift by holding on the kickoff.

Agree, i would have thrown a tantrum if they took points off for that. As cool as those gloves are, they should stop wearing them if they get flagged.

YUP. Cierre did it in the SFLA game, I believe, and it wasn't called. And I remember thinking about it when it happened. If you flash them in the defenders face, fine. But really. D U M B.

We have gotten too PC on sportsmanship. My 7 year old was gassed at his game today and took his helmet off 3 steps from the sidelines to get a drink of water. He was the last player on the field and the ref called him by name and made him run back out onto the field and put his helmet back on. I almost speared that jagoff, but I'm not quite a "crazy football dad." Not QUITE.

We learned that we could crush a good team, and this ND team is BCS worthy. Win out to prove it. There is no one on the schedule the rest of the way that scares me. Stanford will be the lone test to that.

1) Our running game is going to put up 125 yards every game

2) Tommy runs the offense well but is good for at least 2 turnovers per game. Hopefully that changes.

3) I'm getting a Robert Blanton tattoo.

4) Our defensive line is going to look awesome this year considering we don't play anymore 'fast' QBs.

5) Our DBs are good enough to win, but definately not great. We do have holes against the pass.

6) Remember when we were looking for the fire from the players last week? They showed it today.

7) Theo and Flemming are a toss up as the most disappointing players so far.

8) Harrison finally showed why we're all so high on him.

9) The blue shirts in the stadium look bad.

10) TJ is a solid 2/3 receiver.

11) We held MSU to under 30 yards in rushing offense and that hasn't been done in over ten years.

12) We should hold a walk-on tryout for a new punter. It worked last year for the kicker position.

LYNCH is BEAST! One of the most exciting aspect of the game IMHO was Lynch. He is just dynamic!

I tried to point out things I thought that weren't already well documented (I just couldn't help myself with Blanton and our punter). Lynch played awesome.

He's supposed to be a difference maker and he really hasn't been. He caught the TD with 30 seconds to go in the Michigan game, yes, but that was just a seem route. Honestly any of our WRs could have made that play. I expected him to show us why the slot position is so vital to Kelly's offense. He has been very disappointing in that regard.

He's our most electric player on offense as far as after the catch/speed.

Yeah but it bears repeating! Hes a someone to be feared by an offense. Like USC game last year, the boards were filled with hate for Te'o and how huge and powerful he was. Now hehe BWUAHAHAHAHAHA we got Lynch too and Ishaq coming and Tuitt.

Turk looked like crap for most of the game (gasp) but that rugby-style punt was gorgeous. He should not punt at all unless it's one of those.

Also, I don't think enough attention has been given to George Atkinson. That was our first kick return for a td since the hawaii bowl! and this was actually against a pretty good special teams unit
