I'm with you on True Detective.

I'll pretend you never commented on Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
Band of Brothers was better than The Pacific.

I was pretty indifferent to both. Appreciate what was trying to be accomplished by the storytelling, but they both took way too long for me to get going. The Pacific lacked depth, which I thought Band of Brothers had. I could rewatch them both but I don't think it would make a difference.

Master of the Air has everything. It's far more engaging to me.

This season was a flop. It wasn't even supposed to be True Detective. They just slapped the name on it andn threw in a few connecting easter eggs to capitalize on it's fanbase. Lady that played Navarro was apparently a pro boxer before trying her hand at acting and it showed! She was horrible.

SPOILERS

They should have just focused on the lost scientists instead of shifting focus towards the indigenous women angle. I didn't really care about that storyline and the season lost all it's momentum once they moved away from the creepy disappearance. I think that was actually a really good concept for a season. It was inspired off the Dyatlov Pass incident. It would have been interesting to see Jodi Foster and her parter chase leads and investigate a big conspiracy just for it to turn out to have been an avalanche in the end.

Wasn't a huge fan of True Detective this time around.

Wasn't a huge fan of Band of Brothers or The Pacific but Masters of the Air is very high quality. I'm liking it way more than I expected.
I am just disappointed in you as a human being for what you said about BoB and The Pacific. :) Masters of the Air has gotten better as it's gone along and is quite good, but I don't think it's nearly as good as the other two mentioned. They were both close to perfect. Masters of the Air is just very good. Some of the dialogue is embarrassingly corny and unrealistic, like something from a bad 1940s movie.

Fargo Season 5 is taking a weirder turn that I expected. Gonna wait for Shogun to get a lot closer to their final episode before I start it, but am super excited
Not the best Fargo season but I liked it.

So pumped for Shogun.

The Aaron Hernandez episode of The Dynasty was tough to watch. Very chilling.

The team thought just putting him into their "culture" was going to adjust him off the field. This obviously blew up in their faces.

They briefly touch on how he got out of trouble at UF for busting that guy's ear drum because Urban Meyer had a "fixer" lawyer at UF for when players got in trouble. That dude was undoubtedly busy as hell and was on retainer.

Can someone explain me how Taylor Sheridan thinks he can actually finish Yellowstone without Kevin Costner?

I think he will be in some of the 2nd half of S5, they are working on getting him to film more scenes to expand his characters ending.

Movie he is working on which caused the end of Yellowstone

I got through four episodes of Florida Man on Netflix. There are 7. I'm not pressing on any longer.

This is turning out to be one of the best shows I've ever watched. It's great.

Netflix "Don’t Pick Up The Phone". Holy cow. Truth is stranger than fiction. Highly recommend.

Follows the investigation into a hoax caller who convinced managers to strip-search employees at fast food businesses across the United States.

The shocking true crime story of a hoax caller who targeted fast food restaurants across America - posing as a police officer investigating a theft, the caller instructed managers to strip-search the young female employees he said were suspects; for many victims, what began as a humiliating strip search escalated into sexual abuse. When the hoax caller hits McDonald's in Mount Washington, Kentucky, a rookie detective makes it his mission to catch him - what he uncovers is extraordinary. With testimonies from investigators, victims and the people who were duped into committing strip-search crimes, this limited series tells the story of the hunt for the strip search hoaxer, and the victims' search for justice.

Just finished 1883. I love Tim McGraw and Sam Elliot in this, but I struggled making it through.

I just watched Don't F*ck With Cats on Netflix. Internet sleuths try to track down some asshole who posted a couple of videos of him killing kittens. It goes beyond that. It goes waaaay beyond that. Crazy story that's definitely worth watching.

Just finished episode 3 of The Octopus Murders on Netflix. I have the feeling it will end w/ little resolution and leave viewers hanging but had the late Danny Casolaro’s book eventually been finished & published, it sounds like it would blow the lid off what we know about our gov’t over the last 50 years.

The Patriots doc on Apple TV ended up being pretty good. Saw folks on Twitter calling it "The White Last Dance", which is probably accurate but undoubtedly hilarious.

Pretty much the same story, though. Egos of individuals ended up bringing a very successful collective to an end sooner than it should have and it all likelihood could have been even better.

Rob Gronkowski is a national treasure.

The players who spoke about the 2017-18 season was fascinating. They went 13-3 and lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles in what was a miserable season for the majority of the team. Most of them could not wait for that season to be over with. Belichick not playing Malcolm Butler in that Super Bowl remains a total mystery and likely something that was personal.

Shane Gillis live in Austin (on YouTube).
So funny.
Best comedian under 40.
Does a bit about the extinction of white corner backs. Who / when was NDs last white corner back?
