Tebow may have never been officially committed to Shula but IIRC Bama was the leader in the clubhouse until late. Bama was a shit-show in the years between Stallings & Saban.
I'm fairly skeptical about leaders and leans when it comes to recruiting, and in hindsight I recollect reading that Tebow grew up a Gators fan, but if that has to be part of the legend it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. It was a long time ago but from what I recall I always assumed Tebow was going to Florida at the time only because I'd been seeing so much on Rivals boards that he was a Gator fan. I guess it's neither here nor there at this point, but I can tell you one hypothetical I'd bet on in the imaginary universe: If Tebow goes to Alabama, there is no way Cam Newton ever gets kicked out of Florida.

I recall Mike Shula spending an entire day with Tebow and not leaving his house right before Signing Day but the impression at the time was it was a Hail Mary trying to get him away from UF at the last minute. Tebow says in this documentary he prayed all night and had no answer in the morning. Manti prayed and God said USC. A teacher at his school made a remark that convinced Manti to go to ND.

As we learned in the movie Bronx Tale, Your guy may be bigger than my guy up there, but my guy is bigger than your guy down here.

I’ve watched the 1st two episodes. Talk about sugarcoating. As soon as I saw Finebaum I knew what was coming. They put that together like only 20 year olds are watching this & that the SEC has dominated CFB since its inception. No mention that Bama was on the ropes w/ Mike Shula and NCAA sanctions. Saban was in the NFL. Miles hadn’t backed into his NC yet. The Arkansas team that won the West w/ McFadden/Jones/Hillis & got boat-raced by SCum 50-14.

Agreed on your last statement. The Victor Conte/BALCO episode simply re-hashed what we already knew. Johnny Football was horrible. Should I even watch the Jake Paul episode?
I'm going to leave that up to you.

I was going to skip it but I watched it anyway because I wasn't totally aware of who/what he is. I really took nothing from it other than we live in a pretty dumb society where an 18 year old kid can become a millionaire by acting like a slap dick on YouTube.

He and his brother also invented Prime so I'm drinking Gatorade or water for the rest of my life.

LOL! That’s exactly the impression I have of him from talking to my son who follows that stuff. He told me they got their start on a Disney show or something so you know they got issues.

He got the Disney role predicated on his YouTube fame. Again, I really didn't know anything about him. My 7th and 6th grade daughters knew all about his back story. They had no clue who Johnny Manziel was though.

It's an interesting documentary in terms of what he's doing now with boxing. People are paying money for PPV fights to see him lose because most people think him and his brother a douchebags. But they're bringing attention to the sport and putting money in their pockets. He's boxing MMA fighters who are about as old as me and you, but people are paying for it.

Hardly any mention of Aaron Hernandez and no mention of the Pouncey twins.

Swamp Kings ultimately feels like Urban Meyer using Netflix to rehab his image so he can come back and coach college again.

Disappointed in all of these episodes of Untold.
I was thinking similarly after watching it……almost like it was trying to garner sympathy/empathy for Meyer because he cant handle losing without degrading his health. It was still entertaining to revisit some of the history during those years.

I like these documentaries for this very reason. Reliving the games and highlights. The Tom Brady Man in the Arena series is another one that comes to mind. Just in general, a good sports doc takes you back to those games, those moments and frames them well in the present context.

I remember watching Florida lose both of those Auburn games vividly, particularly the 2006 game. The jump pass against LSU was another one. They were a fun talented team to watch but I was typically going against them every time.

Wrapped up E3. It's watchable, but as others have said, it's more of a puff piece which makes me wonder if Meyer got final say over the finished product?

I thought szn 3 was the worst season. Not bad, just not great.

For me it's:

1. szn 1
2. szn 2
3. szn 4
4. szn 3
Finished szn 4 last night, I think the ending was a bit meh. I enjoyed szn 3, I thought the double agent aspect of the russian spy was pretty captivating. Maybe I was being naive while watching szn 3, but I had a tough time figuring out if he was going to cross Jack Ryan or not.

For me personally, I think it goes:

szn 1
szn 3
szn 4
szn 2

Great show, but I believe it's definitely run its course after 4 szns.

Maybe. A lot of people really loved Tebow and were cheering him on if not the rest of the team.

I didn't have beef with Lord Florida not coming to South Bend, but to have Fr Jenkins and Kevin White fly all the way out to Utah when he already knew he was going to Florida was a dick move. Meyer is a sociopath and he wanted to screw ND because of his loyalty to Bob Davie.

I think a lot of us knew who and what he was a long time ago, well before he even left Gainesville. Feels like the rest of the world found out with Ohio State and Jacksonville.

That is not what views means on Twitter. It just means that many people even passed by the tweet.

The average tweet with 5000 RTs gets 5 million views. This has 200K RTs. So that math about checks out in terms of views.

That's for tweets, not videos:

The main Twitter video view metric is triggered when a user watches a video for at least 2 seconds and sees at least 50% of the video player in-view

I've started my annual rewatch of Game of Thrones. S2 E4 right now.

Keeping up with Hard Knocks, Winning Time and Only Murders in the Building. I want to catch the new Star Wars spinoff on Disney Plus as well.

That's not a video view. That's the view count of the tweet itself.

For reference, I manage a multi-million dollar/month media strategy that includes much pre-roll video on Twitter. Not commenting politically, just simply informing as this is often confused. The video metrics you are unable to check anymore on the viewer's end.

For more info^ I’ve viewed that tweet 6 times now so that’s 6 views. Have watched 0 seconds

Thanks for the info. I was just pulling from the definition on google.

Im seeing the previously "most viewed" video on twitter was 70M (also Tucker Carson). So this is still pretty internet-shattering.

Been watching Justified City Primeval. Not bad but not quite on par with Justified. May take another stroll through it again.

Been watching "Dave" on Hulu (Justified is next).

Season 1 was good/funny/interesting. Had a few moments where I belly-laughed for a while.

Season 2 is a major swing. A lot more character exploration, and the goofing off isn't just goofing off... it's all about characterization and building drama and conflict, even the "funny" parts. Still some very funny, and def some dark humor, but also some forced themes that weight the narrative down.

The show overall is okay. I'd say an average comedy? Has as many misses as hits so far.

Season 2, Episode 5, though...... one of the most beautiful setups for character development (or character illustration) that I've ever seen. GaTa, Lil Dicky's hype man, is a model of perseverance and positivity in the face of struggle, failure and rejection. You have to watch the whole show from the beginning to appreciate it, and I won't try to explain it all. But it made me feel good.

For some reason I never got around to watching Peaky Blinders, finally started season one. Through two episodes, and I can already see the appeal.
