At least you've got a family to fall back on. Some of us have nothing but tequila and Harry Potter marathons on HBO

Come to Arizona, broham. I've got a spare room and a fridge full of good beer.

Went out to a chain tonight so had Macallan 12 and a beer back (Peroni Reserve).

Riesling was nice. Lost a bit of its fruit, since it's getting a little older. It had mostly a light pineapple taste, similar to a lot of kabinett Rieslings. It's the oldest Riesling I've tried, that wasn't in the Trockenbeerenauslese range. I wanted to age it, just to try an older Riesling.

I had that bottle in my collection for about 13 years. I think I purchased it in 2004, along with the 2002 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese. That one was fantastic, 12 years ago.

Not gonna knock Beam and Coke, especially if it keeps Mom happy.

Never had Riesling that old. Was very interested. Thanks and reps.

Invite Buster, Cack, ND, and I. I'll fill your fridge, you referee. Actually I'd prefer to just hang with you and Cack sipping on some nice scotch while watching Buster and North Dakota.

I'd rather have tequila and gonerehea....

What type of tekillya do you prefer? Not gonna ask what type of gonorrhea

It's rotgut stuff. Stupid cheap for a handle, so I wasn't actually being serious. It was more of hook to get you to say what brand

How dare you! Kamchatka is the nectar of the gods, mostly because if you drink it and survive then you must be some sort of god. But seriously, watered down nail polish remover probably tastes better and burns less. But for some reason (being poor, thats the reason) I lived off the stuff for three years in college.

I've had tequila straight of course but I can't say I've ever drank just tequila... like as in sipping it over the course of an evening or even just taking shots in my youth... it's always been one small shot with some beers or in a margarita... I guess I can see it happening with Corzo or something similar but I assume I'd enjoy a few beers more.

Seizoen Bretta by Logsdon Farmhouse Ales. Top notch organic saison. Light and drinkable but packs a bit of a punch. If you ever see anything by Logsdon give it a go.

Lagunitas Sumpin Easy
Or
Firestone Walker Leo v Urus Wookus
Or
Modern Times City of the Sun

I saw that Sumpin Easy a day or so before you mentioned it but haven't seen it since... (maybe it was online now that I think of it, can't quite remember). I'll look for the other two tonight.

Thanks.

The brewery about a mile up the road from me is debuting a Boysenberry Sour tonight... I might have to swing over there.

Making my last attempt at bourbon fudge this season. Had to test the Jim Beam in case it was a bad batch. Makes sense, right

Took some family to Florida last week, and mom and I made Cucidata (Italian Fig/Date filled cookies). Recipe called for 3 different spirits, including bourbon so I picked up a handle of Beam. To my surprise, they had 2 for 1 at Walgreens (plus two twelve packs of Coke for free). I tested the Beam all week long (mom helped) lol. Drank the stuff during my college days and early 20s. Was a nice change from all the snobby shit I drink occasionally these days. Got some left in the handle... so think I will go pour one.

Just had a pour of Old Forester 1920 Probibition. On par (quality and depth) flavor and body wise with the EH Taylor. Definitely gonna keep this in stock.
