Seems like people outside of MI are able to score 4 pks of KBS, sometimes multiple if you see some people on beer advocate. In MI, they only sell by the bottle and charge ridiculous prices.

I'm actually kind of ashamed to admit it but $10 - $12 per bottle (not a typo, per bottle). I live in a pretty populated area of metro Detroit and for some reason the stores here got less KBS than prior years. One of my frequent stops got one case! Others only got two or three cases so the prices are ridicolously high.

I just realized that it's Batch 01. I should've kept this a while longer. Bottle in June of 2015.

Boozy. Toffee aroma with some floral scents wafting as well. Slight smoke in the taste with a little bit of candied fruits as well.

Pretty good, I might have to get another bottle to age.

So today I found out that when you let sinus/ear/throat infections run wild, your throat can become so raw that you cough up blood. Awesome.

On a positive note the Walgreens was close to Yardhouse and Culvers so a goblet of KBS on tap for me and a chocolate mint shake.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.

I've been looking for this since my trip to Dublin, and had the extreme fortune of finding a dusty 4-pack on the very top of some stock room shelves, pushed to the back and clearly hidden but forgotten about.

I'm not a huge fan of stouts. I like traditional Guinness because it's a bit easier to drink than a standard stout. Even though this is their "Foreign Extra," it tastes like a standard craft stout, just with a Guinness base. And that works for me.
