The Balvenie Double wood 12 yo. Love this whiskey.

My go to Scotch. 2nd pkt on the 15 year. Oddly, I don't think the 17 year double wood is that great for the price. And if you have the coin and want to treat yourself, the 21 year is spectacular.

This makes me sad. I remember about 8ish years ago when it only cost $120 and it was a very good deal, now it is $200. :censored:

Had some Oban Scotch Distiller's Edition (18 yr old) at a memorial over the weekend... just not a whiskey guy.

If it's hard I'll take high end tequila, like Corzo, or just rum...

been drinking all my dad's Coors Light too, that stuff, no idea why he liked it so much...

I'm much more fickle with hard stuff than I am beer, I hardly ever venture out, it's just not my thing, not enough of a drinker I guess... but I do find I can drink and enjoy Corzo (I typo'd it as "Corvo' in my first post)... never had Don

Renegade Redacted Rye IPA.
N: Rye, citrus (lemon and orange mostly), and some floralness. A touch of apricot as well.
P: Starts with some bitter rye but that quickly fades to allow the citrus (lemon/orange) and apricot to show through. A little cooking spice and slight soapiness along with a little of the taste of chewing on a flower.
F: The rye is back and this time it is pretty bitter, with some floralness as well. A little citrus is there but it is more peel now than the flesh.

Overall it is slightly above average but drinkable beer. I would say 81-84. Has anyone had their Triple IPA Endpoint (which use to be called Elevation)?

Troegs Nugget Nectar.

What do you think of it?

As you know pkt it's a very solid beer. I found that after my first sip of ice cold NN I was a bit underwhelmed. I thought the masses had dropped the ball. But man, after sitting for a few minutes the next drink I took I could really taste the floral hops and citrus. Nice malty flavor too. I would definitely recommend letting this one warm up although just a bit. Really good beer.

Lest I end up working in the salt mines once Emperor Trump comes to power, I'm trying to class up my drinking habits:

Thank you. I am trying to live vicariously through people as it isn't available here.

Oskar Blues Deviant Dale's IIPA. Had to get it since it was canned on my birth date.

Drinking this while cooking dinner, but the nose and palate are basically an amped up Dale's Pale Ale. Lots of orange marmalade and pine. Some caramel as well and a touch of grapefruit as well. Has some bitterness but it isn't over the top. Overall enjoyable but nothing special. If you haven't had it it is probably worth trying at least once.

Jack's Abby Hoponius Union. This is a really, really good beer. It has a freshness and drinkability that is almost un-paralleled. Outstanding.

Scored a 1.75L bottle of Larceny for $30. Feel like I kinda got a good deal.

Nice! Been looking for it, but haven't found it yet. I love wheated bourbon, so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Digging in right now. I will let you know. Full disclosure... I have had it before but it was traveling with me to the Clemson ND game during the waterpocalyose so I don't think I would be able to fully judge under such duress.

All I drink now is Oregon/PNW IPAs and Bulleit bourbon.

I'm drinking IPAs right now. I know that folks say that IPAs are played out and hipster beer, but screw em'. I don't like malty beers, too much sweet puts me off. I love when your nose and the sides of your tongue get hit but a really citrus hoppiness, then the tip of your tongue and throat get a refreshing dry aftertaste. Only IPAs do that for me.

The three I'm drinking in no particular order.

(Space Dust is the best.)

So I had three pours neat. Cleaned my palette and had three pours over a whiskey stone. I plan to have a few with water and over ice this weekend.

The neat pours were very good. Spicy to me up front with a not so smooth finish. Notes are strong up front ( some caramel, some oak, and I did get some honeysuckle in there as well). Vanilla and a coffee aroma hit the back of my throat after the finish and it hung around and intensified during each if the pours. Over all I would say this is very good neat especially for the price. It reminded me of the Pappy but the Pappy had more subtleties and oak flavor which I attribute to the age and the barrels.

Chilling it with the whiskey stone definitely rounded out the heat up front and brought out more of a butterscotch taste. Smoothed out the finish and the florals more pronounced though the coffee went away and vanilla came through strong. All in all I liked the neat better but this is very good as well.

I am a rye guy though so I don't rate this as high as I do Willets pot still or Blantons (single barrel). I do like this both ways better than Makers though and much better than Angels Envy.

Oh and I saw an article that said it was only in a few specific places with SC being on of them. I don't think. Where you are was one of them. I will ship you one if you would like.

This too. Here in Oregon, it's legal as all get out. I just went to the store and bought an eighth of this for 29 dollars. (I know, I'm such a dip for loving Jack Herer so much... but I do.)

We're kind of awesome out here.

I was just offered a glass of Pappy 23' at a bar in Portland for 135 dollars.

I laughed and I cried.

Laughed because the idea that you'd pass is hilarious and cried because of what it does to your bank account?
