Opened a celebration after taking the little ones trick or treating... It's very good... Less cinnamon than I remember

Three Floyds Zombie Dust. Dad brought me some, thought he was just bringing a sixer. He showed up with a case. Oh happy day.

Which one?

For some reason my response to this did not show up last night.... hmmmm

Anyway it's the small batch reserve. I have not had other Hirsch's so I figured I would try this one.

Prety good. Not my favorite for the price. It is good up front but lacks in the finish. Also, a few ice cubes really alters this guy. I drank it both neat and on the rocks and it was like drinking two different bourbons.

Boulevard's Funky Pumpkin. I'm not often in the mood for a sour or a pumpkin ale, but I was feeling adventurous tonight. Pleasantly surprised.

Followed up with The Bruery's Saison Rue. Best saison I've ever had.

What about it do you like? Also, I'll definitely be looking for it now.

Last night I gave Heavy Seas (out of Baltimore) Winter Storm a try. IT's billed as a combination Winter Ale and Imperial ESB. It was decent, just a little too malty for my liking. It seemed like a strong, dry lager.

Hard to describe. I think it's the Brett that makes it stand out. It's an excellent Saison to begin with, but the Brett gives it an herbal, slightly tart twist that's really refreshing.

The Bruery makes some good beers.

Tart of Darkness, Sour in the Rye, Oude Tart, etc. are very good and I have heard that Black Tuesday is amazing.

Alpine Duet. It's no Nelson, but I like it a lot more than Hoppy Birthday.

I really like Duet but I agree that it falls short of Nelson. I have some Nelson put away this weekend for when my brother-in-law visits (along with some Stone Farking Wheaton Stout, Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, and Bell's 30th anniversary Ale Imperial Stout).

My last bottle of Stone Enjoy By 10/31/15.

Also has anyone had the New Belgium Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale (Ben & Jerry’s Collaboration)?

Flying Dog's India Pale Lager. It' good stuff. As the name indicates, it's part IPA, part lager. I like the balance; some hoppy bitterness offset by the sweet lager smoothness. Of course, it's one of their Brew House Rarities, meaning that I find a beer I really like and it's a limited release. I also picked up some Victory Dirt Wolf DIPA, but I won't post about that, since its virtues have been numerously documented in this thread already.

ABW Fire Eagle IPA. Finally got around to it and I can understand why my buddy has been pressuring me to get it.

It's in my fridge but haven't tried it yet. Hopefully in the next couple of days I'll try it.

My favorite local IPA, Dragoon IPA just started canning about a month ago so I grabbed a 4 pack of it (they are 16oz cans).

Though it's not quite cold out yet, I plan on enjoying a few Bell's Best Brown Ales tonight during Cincy-Cleveland.

I shall down the Browns just as the Bengals will.
