Deschutes Obsidian Stout. Pretty good, definitely worth the 7 bucks.

Lots of dark roast coffee/espresso. Hint of caramel on the nose. May more bitter than I anticipated, but I'm more than okay with that. Honestly it's what I would expect out of a robust porter, and not a stout.

You are ruining your diet Coke. I say buy some higher quality rum and drink it neat. If you want inexpensive go with Pyrat XO (about $20 here), or Zaya 12yo ($25ish here), Ron Zacapa 23yo (A little under $40 here), Mount Gay Extra Old (about $40), etc.

I think you answered your own assumed question on why he doesn't drink it straight... Jerry is def my preferred mixer... For example: The only tequila I can drink straight and actually enjoy is Corzo, but I'd never make a margarita with that stuff... wasteful imo.

I have not had it. I saw some this past weekend but I haven't seen any since. I will look tomorrow to see if they still have it. I love Red IPAs but I am generally not a fan of Founder's IPAs so I wanted to ask before buying.
