Today I picked up a six pack of Deschutes Hop Trip, a 4 pack of 16oz Golden Road The Works IPA and a 22oz bottle of Deschutes Chasin' Freshies (this year it is Lemondrop hops). I should be set for this weekend.

Nothing wrong with that. There are some really good budget wines out there.
Yes sir. The allergies are kicking up here so I definitely don't feel like spending too much either. But if I'm having multiple bottles this isn't a bad budget wine.

Deschutes Hop Trip Pale Ale. This year is more malty then usual. A solid beer but not as good as in years past. There is a little grassiness on the palate and some nice hop bitterness on the finish but otherwise the hops are MIA.

You can take the kid out of RI, but you can't take the RI out of the kid.

How does Stone Enjoy By compare to everything you have recommended to me?

Stone Enjoy By is one of the best IPAs out there. This batch isn't quite as good as some of the previous batches but it is still a solid A beer (92-94) while previous batches were closer to A+ (96-98). Definitely worth buying and drinking.

You are right, their standard Pale Ale is just OK. Their best regularly available beers are Maximus IPA, SUCKS, Hop Stoopid, and Sumpin' Sumpin'.
Is Sumpin Extra not regularly available?

What are you drinking?

Coney Island Root Beer. I like it better than Not Your Grandfather's, a little less sweet. Regardless, you can only have 2 or so before it gets grating, or all 6 if you are watching Notre Dame play Clemson.

Golden Road The Works IPA. Very nice citrus nose with some berry gum smell and grassy notes. On the palate both carry over with the first notes being that of a berry gum and then citrus. The malt is very light with some crackerish notes with some slighlty spicy grassy hops on the finish. Overall a good solid beer.

I also like that Golden Road donates some proceeds to L.A. Works (also their beers Heal the Bay has some proceeds go to protecting SoCal watershed, and 2020 IPA has some proceeds that go to helping revitalize the L.A. River).

I haven't had a Golden Road beer that blew me away, but haven't had one I didn't enjoy either... The word 'solid' covers their entire line up IMO... I'm a fan

I had thunderstruck last week, and I thought the same thing... Most enjoy boys are fantastic.

I generally agree though I really do enjoy Wolf Among Weeds a lot. I might give that a higher grade.
