That was my point. You can get great beer almost anywhere. I scored Drink By at Smashburger a couple of months ago and they have full Stone selection there and at The Habit always.

I wasn't very clear, I just prefer other options for cheap Mexican food. We have a place called El Güero Canelo - Fine Mexican Food that is great, fast and reasonably priced. In fact they are opening a location in Phoenix. Love me a Sonoran Dog.

ETA: There is no doubt that SoCal has a better beer selection everywhere (restaurants, gas stations or grocery stores).

What do you think of it? I saw it here a week ago and passed on it, but it looks interesting.

If you like root beer, you'd probably like the ale. It's not exactly like it (not quite as sugary as Barq's etc), but is extremely similar in flavor, especially if you are familiar with less sugary/more "harsh" tasting root beer. Though this is the 5.9%. Be cognizant of that if you look to buy it. If it intrigues you and you can get a single bottle, I definitely suggest it, but it's not something you can have more than one of in a sitting.

Vacation week! Had a SUCKS for breakfast. Now sipping on my second Genesee Cream Ale while I wait for the women to get ready. Then heading on down to Founders for lunch. Gonna be a great week.

Have to chime in on the mex spots (its' dear to my heart)...

Chiptole isn't bad, I won't say it's awful or anything, but the value is pretty bad when compared to the thousands of mom and pop authentic burrito spots out here that almost across the board, tend to be cheaper and taste better. I haven't eaten at Chipotle in a long while... Coming from Redlands though you had two real options, Cucas and Chiptole... For all of Redlands charm and all it has to offer, it's a lacking as a food town imo...

Crusader is right though, it's amazing sometimes the places you will find have great, random, craft beers on tap....

I tend to like Golden Road a lot... I haven't had anything from them I dislike... While they may not have a 'rockstar' all of their beers thus far have been quality.

BV Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012. I picked it up for $12.50 from Costco. A pretty good wine at a great price. Using half the bottle to make a Cabernet Reduction sauce for the shredded beef, which will be combined with some gnochi in a cream sauce.

Bells Neptune. Best one of the series IMO. Check it out if you can. Now cracking a Trappistes Rochefort.

Willett Bourbon – Review | Whiskey-Reviews.com

I got to say this is one the best bourbons I have had in along time. Very reasonable price. I really dont want to stop drinking it. Is that bad? The reviewer mentions Angels Envy... I bought Angels Envy a month ago or so and this is sooooooooo much better. Anyway I highly recommend it.

Gran Patron Platinum. Really good agave flavor with a hint of smoke. Smooth as silk. A top notch Tequila.

Head hurts. Seems like the appropriate place to put this information. I'm drinking black coffee!

The only way to drink it. I had some coffee earlier as well (Green Mountain Dark Magic) and now I am having Oskar Blues Pinner Session IPA. Not bad but I have yet to ind a Session IPA that I really enjoy. Most of them taste like hoppy water to me.

Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin that my wife picked up for me. Whoa! This is hot! Might not be able to finish this one.

edit - nope, too hot for me. Now I'm not normally a spicy food guy but I'm ok with a little heat but this beer was too hot to be enjoyed.

On too a Hop Crisis by 21st amendment my wife picked up for me as well.

4 of these at the pool. I am not a big reviewer of beer but I will say, this is the most refreshing summer style beer I think I've ever had... and that's coming from a Chicagolander who grew up on Leinie's Summer Shandy. Sweet but with a dry, clean finish. As much as I was disappointed with their well known PB Milk Stout, I'm even more so impressed with this Me So Honey. This is a definite rotation beer for me.
