Grapefruit Scuplin IPA... It's good but I've had enough of Abita's Grapefruit Harvest to honestly compare the two and I definitely prefer Abita.

cool clear water. Much appreciated after a couple of hours up on the third floor hauling lumber.
Anybody need some cool pine beadboard panelling that was salvaged from the old ND Fieldhouse? One side is painted, but the other side is natural pine and looks like new even though it is over 125 years old. Great way to finish off the ultimate ND mancave.

I have been enjoying the hell out of some Sam Adams Summer Ale. Way different than what I thought it would be. I also was impressed with Sweet Water's Spinner Bait. Not normally my thing, but both were pleasantly surprising.

Has anyone ever had Abita Pecan Ale? I am dying to try it and don't think I can get it here on the west coast.

It looks like I'm going to the Jester King tasting room on Sunday. Anybody have suggestions on what I should try? I already know that I'll be trying the new Jester King Live Oak collaboration made from the Hefe-Weizen malt.

Also, anybody try Jameson Black Barrel?

Yes, Black Barrel is good, better than regular Jameson at about the same price.

Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. Nothing says happiness like some 100 proof whisk(e)y. It is very good for the price (about $14) with notes of vanilla, caramel, a little corn, cinnamon and cloves.

So you're saying that it's a good price for 3 dollars a shot and that I should skip work Wednesday night? I might need to take that advice.

Old Forester bourbon last night. Rough day at work; needed that corn juice to wash the agita away.

Manzanita Witches Brew... a bit too floral for my tastes but aside from that it's pretty darn good.

Sonoma Springs Little Chief IPA on tap. Solid IPA. The German style beers (kolch and weissbier) this guys does (it's a one man show) are some of the best beers going.
