Basil Hayden's and Blanton's are go-tos. Also enjoy Woodford, Bookers. If I can find it cheap (20-25), I love Buffalo Trace and Elmer T. My first foray into bourbon was Rebel Yell (lol), so if I find Rebel Reserve I grab it for sentimentality reasons. I also find Eagle Rare and Jeffersons decent for the price. Been lucky enough to find to Van Winkles for cost (10 yr and 12 yr Lot B, $50/each).

Woodford is my go to. How is Van Winkles? I'm pretty sure the wife got me a bottle for my Christmas. I've been dying to try it.

Green Flash Palate Wrecker. Very nice grapefruit and tangerine and then some tongue scrubbing bitterness.

Started my Winter Break tonight with a Zombie Dust, and Mrs. Steelhead and I find out the gender of our first child tomorrow. Tis the season!

My in-laws are coming to visit for 3 days for Christmas. Here is what I have on tap for my Father-in-law
Rochefort 10
Stone Enjoy By 12/26/14
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
Stone Russian Imperial Stout
Founders Breakfast Stout
Pappy Van Winkle 15yo
Pappy Van Winkle 20yo
William Larue Weller x3 different vintages
George T Stagg x5 different vintages
Also a few random bottles of wine and whatever Scotch that he would like to drink (probably some Laga 21, and Van Wees Longmorn 17yo and a few others).

Is there anything that I should add to the list?

Hangar 24's Barrel Roll Series... Hammerhead American Barleywine.

It's crazy good.

Congratulations! I'm having a Mission Brewery Conquistador Pale Ale. One of the best beers I've ever had.

I really like that beer (for about 1.5 years I lived in Yucaipa which is damn close to the brewery (about 10 miles or so). I generally like almost all of the Barrel Roll beers (though I have only had them on tap not from a bottle). I also enjoyed their experimental IPA. I have yet to see the Barrel Rolls in AZ though.

Nope, in fact I have never even heard of Camo 13. I believe that the highest abv beer that I have had is the Avery Beast 2013 which I think was 18%.

I was being facetious. Worst beer ever. Drank a quarter of a tall boy 15 years ago and gave up.

Now I want to try it. I have a tendency to seek out the "worst" example of things. Even had a tasting with some friends that centered around the idea of everyone bringing the shittiest whisky that we could find.

I remember drinking generic beer (the cans said beer in black and white) in high school. This stuff was 100 times worse. Worst thing ever was some homemade pulque that my dad brought back from Mexico. Serious challenge to get down. Like drinking plain flavored, fermented flan that hadn't completely set. Bleeech!

Congrats Rhode. What a coincidence, IIRC we had the same wedding day too. (Sorry for setting up low hanging fruit to make a joke out of)

Wow, you're a helluva son in law. I'm happy my father-in-law doesn't have really good taste in booze. A domestic beer or a cheap scotch and soda will hold him just fine. Save the good stuff for me.

Congrats to Steelhead and Rhode on the incoming bambinos. Be prepared to have less money to spend on the high quality booze we talk about 'round these here parts.

Truth, I have 3 children, and the alcohol budget has been decimated.
