It was pretty easy to get here two years ago, now you kind of have to search for it but still not hard to find. And it is only $5 per bottle. Here is a pic of the good ol days. But Alpine Nelson is by far the best IPA I have ever had IMO.

The closest places I can find to my home that have Pliny are a few hours away north of Denver, but it's about $140-150/case. My wife said I could buy a case and hoped I would enjoy it, as it would be ALL I got to enjoy anytime soon if I spent that much on beer. Never tried the Alpine Nelson, but will give it a shot on your rec.

That is rough. Maybe it will show up this week. We just got ours here in AZ late Wednesday night.

How is the Mirror Mirror?

Me too! Local store owners are getting sick of me calling about it...

Pretty good but pretty expensive. Barleywine aged in wine barrels, 2014 release, interesting.

You gave me a sad. You are having a Kern River Brewing beer and it isn't the Citra DIPA.

I went up one year for the release and it was cool. But they only release it twice a year and it is so popular now they do an online lottery. The beer is amazing but still not as good as Alpine Nelson. I wish I had more of that beer but I drank my six all in one month of the release.

And the drive to Kern sucks, it is literally dirt and trees and one small stop in Ridgecrest. But seriously Citra is one of the best beers I have ever had.

Here is more sadness. My one and only trip to Kern and all the Citra is gone now. :(

Just found Enjoy By 12/26/14 on tap at my local taphouse!

Also killed four bombers of it.

And a bottle of George Dickel Rye in the last week or so

Was up North for Thanksgiving, and picked up some 3F Gumballhead, Zombie Dust, Permanent Funeral, and War Mullet. The ZD is still in tact, but the ND game Saturday forced me to dip into the GBH.

I am heading to San Diego in February and I already told the wife we are going to stop by Alpine on our way. I can't wait.

Get ready for some of the best IPAs in the world. Make sure you bring back as much Nelson as possible. 3 bottle limit per person per beer and growlers I think is 4 fills per person per beer. And the staff there is so friendly. Also if they have it, Keene Idea which is basically Nelson but they made it into a DIPA.

Have fun bro!

What are you drinking?

Killed the growler of SanTan Heavy D Imperial IPA 9.2%

Bought 4 Stone Enjoy By 12/26/14 and a four pack of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout.

Man I cannot get my hands on any 2014 Bourbon County. Frustrated at every turn. Hopefully tomorrow though.

I am looking forward to it. Thank you for the recommendations.

Sierra Nevada Celebration
Camus Cognac. Just ok, I am not a huge fan of most cognacs.

Earlier this evening I had the Chico King Pale Ale, a collaboration of Three Floyds and Sierra Nevada. Now enjoying There and Back English-style bitter, a collaboration of New Glarus and Sierra Nevada.
