picked up a 24oz Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Hop Harvest Wet Hop Ale 2014 bottled on 9/24/14 that I will open later while watching football.

Right now Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale.
You like the Oscars right? Haven't tried it yet.

I like Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale for what it is, a very nice beer to drink at a very reasonable price ($8 here a 6 pack). For that matter most of their beers are solid (Old Chub, Deviant Dale's IPA, G'Knight Red IPA and one amazing beer Ten Fidy which is one of the best Russian Imperial Stouts out there). If you like a nice light, hoppy and crisp Pale Ale's at a reasonable price this is a good choice. Plus it comes in cans which is great.

Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hop Ale (IPA). Loads and loads of grass with some caramel malt. Some pine and fruit in the background. A very different IPA from what I normally enjoy but I do enjoy this beer.

So there was this drop dead gorgeous black chick trying to sell/vendor some shit I would never normally drink at my local liquor store... The power of the p.u.s.s.y...

So, I'm drinking jäger spice ( actually way better than normal jäger) with dr pepper... Though my gut is not approving.

That's a recipe for a hangover, bromine.

So anyone ever come across a beer like this before?
WHITE THAI

5% ABV 16 IBU
This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Availability: Draft & 12oz cans

First released: December 20, 2010

If it makes you feel better I was very unimpressed by it. It tasted like lemongrass beer with a few other asian spices mixed in. Not my thing at all.

Haha no that doesn't make me feel better. ;) I had it while at a boil/oyster roast. Went went with the food and ccoutrements. Particularly the mussels.

I could see that. I had it at a tasting and on its own it was pretty rough.

A crap ton of Bud Light.

Midterms are a one or two week thing, who cares about 'em? Thirsty Thursday will always be here.

Having an engagement semi-party tonight. Any suggestions on something good that everyone might like?

I'd like to avoid the standard Bud Light/Miller Light, but have no idea on general microbrew tastes outside of my own.

I'm glad it's just ugly, middle-aged dudes at my local liquor store.

I think that something like Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale would work. Same thing with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I think that Pale Ales can be good for craft beer drinkers but also works as a good beer for someone who drinks the big 3 as well.

I think Mirror Pond is the most widely liked beer that I favor. Girls, guys, everyone seems to like it.

It has a robust color for being a pale ale. It might scare away the Bud/Miller/Coors Light crowd. "Beer that tastes like stuff? Outrageous!"
