Definitely worth a try. Not quite as good as Stone IPA but better then Lagunitas IPA. Nice hoppy bitterness.

Bear Republic has some good beers (Racer 5, Hop Rod Rye, Racer X, Red Rocket, and Big Bear Black Stout). Definitely a brewery worth checking out.

The pumpkin smasher is actually really good. It is by the big muddy brewing company. I think it is best pumpkin I have had other than shipyard with cinnamon and sugar on the rim

I had the traveler pumpkin shandy......best ever for me. Not too much sage or cinnamon flavoring. Very delicious.

How is the dogfish? Want to try it but I don't like a lot of spices

I have not tried it but people tell me that the pumpkin flavor is very light. I think Dogfish overcorrected from last year because there were complaints that the beer had too much pumpkin flavor.
