Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.
I really like this but it tastes nothing like standard Guinness (which is a good thing). If you gave this to me blind, I would think it is a really good quality American Imperial Stout. Lots of chicory, licorice, roasted malt, slight pine, and slight char.

Nice. I am on "vacation" today and tomorrow but I have to finish a major project for work by Sunday night so I can't imbibe to heavily during the day. I have Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (my favorite Guinness), and a plethora of other beers in my fridge:
SanTan MoonJuice x5
Firestone Luponic Distortion x6
Ballast Point Victory at Sea x4
Ballast Point Sculpin x2
Coronado Sock Knocker x2
Dragoon IPA x3
Mother Road Tower Station IPA x3
Lagunitas Maximus x3
Stone Americano Stout x2

My sister and her husband are coming to visit this weekend.

Looks like a great lineup!

Short's Superfluid DIPA.

ETA: Thank you Jackalope.

Perrin Lil' Griz

Thanks Jackalope.

New Holland Dragon's Milk Reserve with Toasted Chilies.

Thank you Jackalope.

Such an interesting beer. You gets lots of bourbon barrel notes to start with toffee, vanilla and licorice and then BAM, big time smokey and spicy chili pepper.

Anytime pkt. Glad you enjoyed them. Did you not enjoy Superfluid that much? No comment lead me to believe that you didn't think much of it.

Ballast Point Victory at Sea. Not quite as good as previous versions. The coffee is more bitter this time.

I enjoyed Superfluid, I think I rated it 88-90 or 89-91. Some nice tropical fruit notes, good bitterness and a touch of peach.

Good. I like it a bit more than that but that's what's great about beer. Different strokes for different folks. Stupid Purdue.

Knee Deep McCarthy's Bane Imperial Red

Orange, pine, grapefruit, caramel malt, brown sugar and some floral notes. A very good beer but nothing special, especially for the price.

How is that?

I really like it. Cocoa and mint on the nose and in the mouth but not over powering. It is a bit thinner than your average stout but I don't mind because I think that helps keep it from being cloying. I wouldn't say it's like Narnia in my mouth but I enjoy it.

ABW just released Heavy Machinery double IPA. I was recommended it, so I picked up a 4 pack. HEB was almost out and it was just released!

Saison Du Buff. Collaboration by Dogfish Head, Stone, and Victory.

Had to give a little feedback on this. I bought it because it's a collaboration by three good breweries and it says on the bottle parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. And I love Simon and Garfunkel. When I first poured it I thought it smelled like dinner. Very strong herbal presence. I actually thought after the first smell that it wasn't going to be good. But upon tasting I was very pleasantly surprised. The taste is very fresh with mellow herbs and hops and it's less sour than I thought it would be. Overall I really like this beer and I think it's a must try.

Founders Mosaic Promise. I generally don't really enjoy Founders IPA's but this one is fantastic. The nose is amazing, tropical and fresh. Taste follows suit. It really makes me question whether simplicity is really the way to go seeing how this is single hop, single malt. Really, really great beer. I challenge you to not enjoy this pkt. I know you're not a fan of Founders IPA's.
