Herbstreit was beating that drum back in week three last year when Baylor was playing Buffalo. Everyone jumped on the lack of a conference championship game as the reason TCU and Baylor were left out last year, but I think their embarrassing OOC schedules were at least equally to blame.I hope you're right, and peaking ahead at ND's future schedules, it seems they will continue to schedule as they have been. Let's just hope ND can press for a playoff spot in the next year or two, and everyone will begin following suit I think... or at the very least, we won't have to talk about Minnesota being someone's toughest OOC opponent.
I don't think so. Games like Alabama-USC give me hope. After last season everyone will be trying to schedule like tOSU, not Notre Dame.... no?

Ohio State was nowhere near as bad as Baylor.I think OSU got the benefit of the doubt on their schedule after the way they finished with such a dominating performance against Wisconsin, and in a conference championship game no less.
Baylor got shafted because they didn't play anybody good OOC. I guess it could go either way.
I'm getting pretty excited to watch Elijah Hood and Ryan Switzer make South Carolina look foolish.
I'm also pretty jacked up to watch Western Kentucky air it out early and then pound away late on Vandy. #GoTops
And of course, the heartiest of F*ck Michigan's will commence at 8:30 shortly after WKU starts. I hope Utah pounds them into a pulp without mercy.
Also curious to see how Minnesota holds up to TCU... not sure if I'm buying the Minnesota "hype," despite their showing last year.
It is almost time.
