There are great athletes who learn quickly without playing time and there are great athletes who only learn with lots of real-game situations.[Point being that some of our veterans may be picking up the new systems slower than others, but all are getting there]. I have seen no instances of what I'd call dogging it out of our guys, and since they're still getting game time, believe that Diaco doesn't either. Also that means that he sees more good things than this board apparently sees. I am wondering if, without actually grading every play, members of this board don't realize that many of the plays on which OLBs are NOT mentioned are because they did such a good job that the opponent "didn't go there". I just hesitate to be that much of a critic on the basis of what seems to me to be very fragmentary solid knowledge. If people HAVE really good "whole game" analysis, I'd really like to hear the "larger picture" results of that.
