Starting the grill at noon. We will have a lot to eat and drink. We have family coming over for the game so it should be a good time. We will have all kinds of things to eat. Burgers, brats, hot dogs, wings. The only bad thing is that when we have company over for the game, I have to be in my room and watch because I have to be in my own little area. Im weird like that, I get irregular heat beats every saturday and sunday during football season. Notre Dame always makes me nervous. The best time of the year is finally here.

Im going to be cooking 2 different types of protein, have a full handle of rum and a bottle of Jameson on hand, mug frozen and ready to go and lots of chewing bacco ready to be had! I plan on eating a good meal with lots of carbs at kickoff because by 4th quarter I could be blasted! Lets just hope I can crack that bottle of Jameson!! (Its my celebration drink)

I've got musical performances Friday and Sunday.
I should be mildly hungover already....so I'll take it easy Saturday and have a good filling lunch and watch a bunch of games on my tv and Espn3 tiled on my computer.

Near ND time I'll get my Jack Daniels out and mix a nice stiff Jack and Coke. Shots will be lined up for touchdowns. A small glass of Eagle Rare Bourbon on thr rocks after we win.

I won't eat much during the game.
Probably snack on some chips or whatnot. I need more local ND friends to have over.

I am down in SEC land so my ND pride rolls solo, but strong. Two years ago when I moved to Mississippi by myself and knew no one I got thrown out of a local bar for berating the bartender and some local rednecks for changing the ND game to Auburn.. which was on two other TVs.

I now know people, although they are not ND fans, they are cool to chill and watch football with. I might as well watch it by myself though because all I do is hammer down beers and pace in front of the TV talking about players people have never heard of.

Im psyched.. really,really psyched.

2:00--go up to my room. pace. take a nap. something to take my mind off the impending 1.5 hour wait

3:28--turn on NBC again. Celebrate when I see that golf/gymnastics credits are rolling across the screen
3:29--ONE MINUTE LEFT. begin to hyperventilate
3:30--The golden dome flashes across the screen. I hear a voice that is not Tom Hammond. I celebrate. All is well
3:31--realize that kickoff won't actually be for another 15 minutes
3:32--this NBC sports update is awful. who cares about gymnastics (looks condescendingly at Tom Hammond)
3:38--Why is Manti Te'o covered in blood?
3:40--Brian Kelly uses his jedi mind tricks to win the coin toss. We receive.
3:42--Kickoff. My social life is officially over until January
3:43--commercial? really, NBC? tsk tsk.
3:47--Crist to Floyd, first play, 76 yards for the TD.
3:50--BJ Daniels lines up across from Te'o. He notices the smoke coming from Teo's nostriles. He pees a little bit.
3:57--BJ Daniels arrives at the emergency room. Meanwhile, at Notre Dame Stadium, Te'o picks bits of BJ Daniels out of his teeth.

unfortunately, I might miss the end. My high school plays at 7:00 and it's an hour away. Yikes. Looks like I'm going to have to Criqui it up for a little while in the car. Maybe I'd be better off getting updates on my phone. It would be just as exciting. Ouch! Criqui-zing!
