Save up a few more dollars, take a longer vacation, fly to Europe, get the Eurail pass, and take off. Sleep where you lay your head. Pack light, brush up on the culture and history of each country, experience the people, learn basic phrases, and enjoy. If I were young and single again, this would be a no brainer.

Five days doesn't give one much time other than what has really been mentioned already. If the ocean, sand, snorkeling, and drinking is what you want, go to Cabo and hit up Sammy's bar. Plenty to see and do and fairly inexpensive.

It used to be pan european but now they cut it down to zones (generally 3 countries each per zone) To be honest there's not much saving involved in getting it, buying tickets as you go is just as easy these days with multi lingual ticket machines etc at most stations.

Any on the coast of Ambergris Caye will suit you. We would kayak from the beach in waters that were as smooth as a small lake. It was awesome. I'll look up some of the places and shoot them your way.

Cruise's are so lame old nearly dead people, same for package tours. What's stopping people from actually travelling and doing it on your own? Are people afraid of getting robbed or whatever? Never understood the fear factor about this whole thing.

I assume you won't have a problem with others referring to you in that way? They probably do the cruise for convenience.

I still thought they had changed it. The last person I knew who got one did not recommend it at all. It's not like you'd save much money by getting the Eurail pass.

Go tour Sir Henry Mill Pellatt' Casa Loma. It's an amazing castle of one of Canada's most important historical figures. Also a hilarious case of Canada destroying the life of one of their most important men through their ridiculous political betrayal. A must see.

They have a great museum as well. Toronto is a great city. Just go walk around and explore.

Go tour Sir Henry Mill Pellatt' Casa Loma. It's an amazing castle of one of Canada's most important historical figures. Also a hilarious case of Canada destroying the life of one of their most important men through their ridiculous political betrayal. A must see.

They have a great museum as well. Toronto is a great city. Just go walk around and explore.

My wife and I went to Belize for 5 days last year. I fly fished, snorkeled, did a jungle tour, kayaked and ate out every night. It was less than $1,500 per person.

Wooly I'm headed back to BZ on Saturday for 8 nights. Anything you'd recommend that just knocked your socks off. Base camp is the Grand Caribe on Ambergris Caye but jumping over to Caye Caulker for a few nights and BZ city one night to see friends. Open to jumping other places you might recommend.

Captain Jak's Resort- Accommodation in Placencia, Belize

Lived down there off and on (business), but never been to Placencia. Screwed my ankle up late last week, so first couple of days will be floating at the resort on my sumo float and paddling over to the bar.... was going to pop over to Placencia or to the northern lagoon area but will depend on ankle. Got a golf cart for the week so I can go up and down AC with not too much irritation to the leg. Staying right at the Split on CC for 2 nights so won't have to go too far there either. Definitely going to do some snorkeling at shark ray alley and reef fishing. maybe some flat fishing if the leg holds up. Looking forward to the One Barrel and Belikin.

Reading some old post in this thread. My father is from Belize, born and raised there. I have family in Belize City that I can stay with any time. Spend a few days in the Keys, go down South, North or to the Mountain Pine ridge section.

One of my favorite places to stay in the world is Chaa Creek in mountain pine ridge.

As mentioned great reef fishing, sport fishing, fly fishing, beaches, Mayan Ruins, rain Forrest, running in caves, etc

Went to Rome my freshman year at Holy Cross with Father Sullivan. What an experience!

Besides those mentioned we went through the catacombs, went to Mass at a church close to our hotel (crazy how even in Italian you knew what was going on. I can see now though why Latin Mass was a thing since you could go anywhere in the world and knew what was being said), visited a few monasteries and convents, etc. You may have done all of these, but figured I'd throw it in.

I actually haven't done the catacombs. I'm very intrigued by them. I also never made it to any non Vatican museum.

The Wedding Cake (Il Vittoriano) was very interesting as well.

Well I'm already going up to Florence, Assisi, and Ravenna. The day trips around Rome I'm not exactly sure about.
